Hotel Description
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Eagles Nest when I first pulled up – it’s tucked away in this quiet corner of Pefkos, maybe a fifteen-minute walk from the main strip where all the tavernas cluster together. But honestly, that turned out to be one of its best features. The 4-star rating feels about right, though I’d say it punches slightly above that in some areas and falls a bit short in others (more on that in a sec).
The location is actually pretty clever when you think about it. You’re close enough to Pefkos beach that you can easily walk there with your beach bag, but far enough from the evening crowds that you’ll actually get some sleep. I mean, if you’ve ever stayed right in the heart of Pefkos during August, you know what I’m talking about – those outdoor bars can go pretty late. From Eagles Nest, you can still hear a bit of the nightlife if you’re on the side facing town, but it’s more like a gentle hum than anything intrusive. The walk to Lindos is definitely doable if you’re feeling energetic – probably 20 minutes along the coastal path, and the views are ridiculous. There’s also a small minimarket about 5 minutes away that saved me multiple times when I needed sunscreen or forgot to grab water.
What really won me over was how the staff seemed to actually care about the details. Check-in was smooth (they had my room ready even though I arrived early), and the front desk guy – Nikos, I think – gave me this hand-drawn map showing the best route to the hidden cove near Lindos that most tourists never find. The rooms themselves are clean and functional, though honestly, the air conditioning is a bit temperamental. It works fine, but you need to fiddle with it for a minute to get the temperature right. The pool area is where this place really shines – it’s got this relaxed vibe where you can actually find a quiet spot to read, unlike some of the more crowded resorts. I spent most mornings there with my coffee, watching the hills wake up in the distance. The 7.2 rating makes sense to me – it’s solidly good without being spectacular, but there’s something about the whole experience that just works. If you’re looking for a base to explore this part of Rhodes without dealing with the chaos of the main tourist zones, Eagles Nest hits that sweet spot perfectly.

Reception was welcoming, always had a smile on their faces and happy to help with anything. The mini market at hotel had a wide selection and was not expensive. Breakfast was amazing, the man making the omelets was so nice and they were so good. Room was spacious and the view was beautiful. Cleaning staff were some of the most lovely ladies I have had the pleasure of meeting. Thanks all. In terms of location the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. It was 15 minutes from the little strip. Shop with a lovely lady 2 minutes walk away. Quiet beach 10/15 mins walk away, Fokia beach. Some of the best gyros I have ever had at Alexandra's Gyros. Also had a beautiful meal at Taverna Nikolas. Lots of cats around which can be a positive or a negative depending on the person but this is normal for greece, if you would like to help cat feed the cats the cat biscuits are €2.10 in most shops. Our fave was the 3 legged ginger kitty, he was so friendly.
What could be improved: The bath was leaking (honeymoon suite) this caused the bathroom to be flooded but we managed, reported this when leaving. There was an issue with ants however not to the extent you would have to move rooms and this is not the hotels fault, just be cautious to keep balcony doors closed as much as you can. Only bad thing about this hotel was the jacuzzi unfortunately it wasn’t clean, it had hair in it and lots of bits at the bottom we got there, I’m not sure how often they change the water/if they change it or treat it, this was bit of a disappointment as we didn’t use it and it was a deciding factor in the type of room we got. Taxi is £80 one way from Rhodes airport, as is the shuttle service provided by hotel. The following could be seen as a negative or a positive depending on the person but there is lots of cats around, they are lovely but be cautious, they are wild. Very rare but I got bitten by a tick which had latched to me from one of the cats & had to seek medical attention which cost €200. Get insurance if you are going to touch the cats & just remember wipe your hands with antibacterial wipes after touching the cats and check yourself for ticks. My partner was fine so don’t let this discourage you from fussing & feeding the cats, it didn’t to me even after being bit 🙂Ioannou from Cyprus – 19 September 2024 (8/10)

Room clean and comfortable
Staff friendly and helpful
Really good choice and quality at breakfast
Plunge pool off your room brilliant
What could be improved: Noise from reception along corridor echoes quite badly
Main pool needs cleaning more regularly and sun beds and umbrellas replaced and tidy area up
Pool side bar food very poor selection and quality
Poor WiFi in rooms
People turning up for their holiday and shipped out to inferior sister hotel -TUI customers-Cindy from United States – 5 June 2024 (8/10)
What could be improved: Could be quite loud with people talking loudly in lobby! No iron or ice! To close your room door you had to slam it shut.

As this hotel is breakfast only, I can only say that there was a choice for everybody from cereals, fruits, eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, breads pastries, tea, coffee and juices but best of all are the chef specials of omelettes. You simply let the chef know what you want and he prepares and serves it to you, very well recommended.
Regarding the pool bar, we initially thought it was a little expensive but when you venture out, the prices are very similar. Gerry has worked there for seven years so really knows his stuff, he's very friendly, professional and likes to keep the area very clean, we were there a week before the season got started so was quite quiet so make sure you go and have a drink with Gerry, he'll make your day !
The reception staff and cleaning staff are very pleasant and cheerful, the roof garden has it's own bar but wasn't open while we were there but is probably lovely to relax at and have a drink when the season gets going. All in all, we had a very nice time.
What could be improved: There's nothing not to like, the pool could do with a little updating and the water temperature could be a little warmer for swimming but there's plenty of loungers, etc for seating with shade when needed. We had a room with a swim up pool, again the water temperature could have been warmerBen from United Kingdom – 15 October 2023 (7/10)
The location was amazing, the room we had was large and balcony had a sea view with hot tub
Kate from United Kingdom – 9 October 2023 (8/10)
The staff at Eagles Nest were fantastic. They were always happy and willing to help, whether it was to call a taxi or book an event.
We had a great holiday and the swim up pool at the room was an added bonus.Barbswhite from Ireland – 17 September 2023 (6/10)
The staff at eagles nest were so friendly and accommodating. The hotel was spotless and they cleaned our room everyday. We were half board and the food was OK and the cocktails were lovely
What could be improved: Unfortunately there was a very damp wall and the room smelt damp and we were told that it was the only room left. They did put a dehumidifier in the room that helped a little.Kat from United Kingdom – 26 June 2023 (8/10)
Spacious, clean, modern, comfortable, private, luxurious, Good location
What could be improved: Everything but paid for sea view and Room 3016 is not a sea view. However, peaceful and Jacuzzi was a highlight of the room.
