You know what struck me first about D&R Boutique Villas? It’s actually right on Gennadi beach – and I mean literally steps from the sand, not one of those “beachfront” places where you need a ten-minute walk through a maze of other hotels. Gennadi itself is this laid-back fishing village on Rhodes’ southeast coast that most tourists completely miss because they’re all crowding into Lindos or Rhodes Town. Which honestly works in your favor, because you get this gorgeous stretch of beach that’s never packed, even in July.

The villas themselves have that boutique feel without being pretentious about it – think clean lines, whitewashed walls, and those little touches that show someone actually thought about how people live in a space. I mean, there’s proper counter space in the kitchenette (rare in Greece, trust me), and the shower pressure is surprisingly good for a smaller property. The 9.8 rating makes total sense once you’re there; it’s one of those places where everything just works. The owners clearly live nearby because they’re always around if you need something, but never hovering. Check-in was refreshingly simple – no corporate hotel bureaucracy, just genuine people who know their property inside and out.

What I loved most was the location’s sweet spot between seclusion and accessibility. You’re far enough south that you feel properly away from everything, but it’s only about a 45-minute drive to Rhodes Town if you want to explore the medieval city or catch a flight. The beach in front is this mix of sand and pebbles with incredibly clear water – the kind where you can see your feet even when you’re chest-deep. Mornings are magic here; you’ll wake up to fishing boats heading out and maybe three other people on the entire stretch of sand. By afternoon, a few more folks show up, but it never gets crazy. There’s a decent taverna about a five-minute walk down the beach that does proper Greek food (the grilled octopus is ridiculous), and the village has a couple of mini-markets for basics. Parking is never an issue – actually, finding your rental car is more of a challenge because there’s so much space.

The only tiny downside? If you’re looking for nightlife or shopping, you’ll need to drive elsewhere. But honestly, that’s sort of the point. This is where you come to properly unwind, read books on your private terrace, and remember what quiet sounds like. The four-star rating is spot-on – it’s not trying to be a luxury resort, but everything you need is there and done well. I’d definitely go back, which for me is always the real test.

  A fantastic place for a vacation!
  The villa has everything you could possibly need, with great attention to even the smallest details. The rooms are spacious, each with access to either a terrace or a balcony. The beds are comfortable, the air conditioners work quietly and efficiently, and blackout curtains ensure a restful sleep.
  The terrace features a large table, perfect for enjoying breakfast in the shade, thanks to the pergola overhead.
  The location is extremely convenient—just a few minutes’ walk to the town center, where you’ll find grocery stores, cafes, and more.
  It’s also only a short walk to the beach, which is peaceful and uncrowded. Everything is within easy reach, yet the villa still offers a sense of complete tranquility.
  The host was incredibly attentive, responding to any questions quickly—though we barely had any, as everything was so well-prepared and smooth.

  Location is fab. Easily walkable to the town and beach and to explore the island. It's a little far from Rhodes town so if you want to be exploring the northern end – this isn't the place for you.
  
  What could be improved: The only thing that was a slight annoyance was the pool being lit up all night. The blue light is quite bright and shines through the entire living area all night. It's on a timer so can't be adjusted – it's on from 7pm to 5am. It's minor in the scheme of things.

  We arrived an hour earlier and the owner responded immediately to our request to check in earlier. The owner also allowed us to check out a couple of hours later without any additional charge. The problem with non-functional set of remote control units for opening villa gates was solved almost immediately.
  The villa is very nice and convenient with modern kitchen equipment and all you need to cook and enjoy your meals, including coffee machine and unlimited coffee capsules. The pool is sufficiently big and clean. The sun roof above the pool was very useful during hot sunny hours. Air conditioning, quality of WiFi, bathrooms, beds, large dining table near the pool, parking for 2 cars – everything was perfect.
  Location is extremely convenient – 300 meters to the Gennadi beach and the same 300 meters to the street with supermarket and fruit market and variety of restaurants. Mama's Kitchen is the one we'd recommend to visit.
  We cannot imagine any single thing we did not like on the villa. We'd highly recommend this property.

  Wenn man Ruhe sucht ist die Lage perfekt. Eine Autostunde von Rhodos Stadt entfernt.
  Lindos, Pefki, Kiotari alles in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Villa. Das Dorfzentrum Gennadi ist zu Fuss in 5min. erreichbar und hat alles was man braucht. Bars, Restaurants, Bäckerei und einen Super Market.
  War eines der besten Ferienerlebnisse seit langem. Danke Dimitri.
