Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Domus Oliva Villas in Haraki, I wasn’t expecting much. The village itself is this quiet fishing spot that most people zoom past on their way to Lindos, but that’s actually what makes it perfect. The property sits right where you can see the medieval castle ruins perched on the hill above, and honestly, waking up to that view never gets old.

What really struck me about this place is how they’ve managed to feel authentically Greek without trying too hard, you know? The villas are spread out enough that you’re not hearing your neighbors’ conversations through paper-thin walls – something I definitely can’t say about some of the places I’ve stayed on Rhodes. The owner, Maria, actually lives nearby and she’ll casually mention the best times to hit the beach (early morning or after 5 PM when the day-trippers have cleared out) or which taverna down by the harbor has the freshest fish that day. These are the kinds of details you just don’t get from corporate hotel chains.

The accommodations themselves are what I’d call thoughtfully simple – clean lines, local stone, and these fantastic private terraces where you can actually spread out. I mean, the kitchenettes aren’t going to win any design awards, but they’re properly equipped if you want to grab some of those incredible tomatoes from the village market. The pool area gets gorgeous afternoon light, though it can get a bit busy during peak season (July and August, obviously). What I really appreciated was the parking situation – sounds boring, I know, but try finding a decent spot in most Greek island hotels and you’ll understand why this matters. Plus, the beach is literally a three-minute walk down a path that winds through some olive groves, and Haraki’s little stretch of sand is still relatively undiscovered compared to the circus at Tsambika.

Here’s what sealed it for me though – the staff actually remembers your name and your coffee order by day two, which feels increasingly rare these days. They’re not hovering or overly formal, just genuinely helpful when you need them. The housekeeping is thorough without being intrusive, and they’ll work around your schedule if you mention you’re planning a late morning by the pool. The 9.7 rating makes total sense once you’re there; it’s not flashy or trying to be something it’s not, but everything just works the way it should. If you’re looking for a base to explore the quieter side of Rhodes – the mountain villages, the less touristy beaches, maybe even a day trip to Symi – this is exactly the kind of place that lets you settle in and actually relax instead of feeling like you’re camping in someone else’s idea of paradise.

  There are three villas located next to each other but separated so you have your privacy. The villa has a top floor with a double bed bedroom and a bathroom, the bottom floor has a double bed bedroom, kitchen, small living room with a sofa and a bathroom. There is a washer and a dryer. You have a private large terrace with a private pool, in addition, there is a large common area outside in case you want to rent all three villas. The host is very friendly and responsive, he left us with some groceries in the refrigerator to get us going. The village nearby is small and beautiful and have some nice restaurants. The nearest beach located 2 minutes drive from the villas is very nice and quiet.
  
  What could be improved: You need a car, the village and beach are in a walking distance but you have to walk on the road. To reach to the supermarket you need to drive.
  The WIFI could be stronger.

  We had a wonderful time in Haraki!! The host was very friendly! The villa was exceptionally clean, comfortable and fully equipped! Worth to mention the super comfy bed!!!!

  Domus Oliva Villas is really beautiful!
  It is located in a quiet location, in the middle of an olive grove and close to the sea.
  The villa is very spacious, clean, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable mattresses in the bedroom, on which you sleep very well!
  The terrace has a large area with seating, a grill and a swimming pool.
  The owner Alexandros is very nice and always helpful!!!
  Upon arrival, we received some food in the fridge, fruit, beer and wine as a treat!
  Who is looking for a quiet holiday in a wonderful environment and a villa – I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!

  Domus Oliva is a beautiful clean villa in a lovely quiet area, but within walking distance of local bars, restaurants, and beaches. Our host Alexandros met us at the villa, even though it was around midnight when we arrived. He had even left some essential food and drink, which was greatly appreciated after our journey.
  
  The villa is well equipped, and the outside area is fabulous. All the local restaurants were great and we even used the villa's barbecue facilities. We had a car so found it very easy to travel about the island, but there was a bus stop up at the main road.

  We really enjoyed our stay there. The owner was friendly and helpful. Apartment was clean and shiny with all the equipment you can think about. 6 days stay include cleaning in the middle of our stay, which was very nice.
