So I stumbled across Diana Art Boutique Hotel on Stratigou Griva while wandering around Rhodes Town, and honestly – it’s one of those places that gets everything just right without trying too hard. You know how some boutique hotels feel like they’re desperately performing their “boutique-ness”? This isn’t that. It sits quietly on this tree-lined street, maybe a seven-minute walk from Mandraki Harbor, and the whole vibe is more sophisticated local than tourist trap.

The art thing isn’t just marketing fluff either – there’s actually thoughtful pieces throughout the property, though I mean, it’s not overwhelming or pretentious about it. What really got me was the attention to detail in the rooms. The linens feel expensive (you know that crisp hotel cotton that makes you want to check the thread count?), and whoever designed the bathrooms actually understood that people need somewhere to put their toiletries. Small thing, but you’d be surprised how often hotels mess that up. The air conditioning works properly too, which – trust me – matters a lot during those sticky July nights in Rhodes.

Location-wise, you’re perfectly positioned without being in the chaos. Walk toward the harbor and you’ll hit all the main medieval city action, but turn the other direction and you’re in this quieter residential area where actual locals grab coffee. There’s this little taverna about two blocks down that doesn’t even have a proper sign, just serves incredible grilled octopus if you know to ask. The hotel staff will point you toward it if you seem like the type who’d appreciate it – they’re good at reading people that way. Parking can be tricky around here (honestly, just use their valet if you’ve got a rental car), but most of Rhodes Old Town is walkable anyway. The medieval walls are literally a ten-minute stroll, and you can catch the bus to Lindos right from near Mandraki if you’re planning day trips.

What sets this place apart is how it feels authentically Rhodes without leaning into clichés. The breakfast features local honey and cheese from somewhere on the island – not just generic continental stuff – and the front desk actually knows the city well enough to give you real recommendations instead of just handing over a tourist map. I stayed here in late September when the crowds thin out, and honestly, that might be perfect timing. Still warm enough for the rooftop terrace in the evenings, but you’re not fighting hordes of cruise ship passengers for every photo. The 8.8 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be the flashiest place in town, but everything works, the service feels genuine, and you end up with those little moments that make a trip memorable rather than just Instagram-able.

  Our second time staying in this hotel, it's very comfortable & clean modern quality room. Close to restaurants, shops & walkable to major sites such as old town & Collusus. Reception was very helpful to call for taxi.
  
  What could be improved: Hard to find taxi, but reception was able to call for taxi. Not so quiet area because of the bar & restaurants close by. Elevator was very tiny, but at least they have it for heavy laggages.

  Clean room, modern hotel, nice & helpful staff, have a lift but very small, location is close to restaurants & shops, walking to major attractions, nearby beach.

  Excellent Stay – Warm Hospitality and Great Value!
  Our experience at the hotel was truly wonderful. Everything exceeded our expectations, especially considering the price – it was great value for money and even more than we had hoped for.
  From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like part of the family. Their friendliness, warmth, and willingness to help with anything we needed really stood out. Every request we made was handled quickly and professionally. Whether it was extra items for the room or help with planning parts of our trip, everything was taken care of with a smile.
  The hotel was well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. Even at the end of our stay, when we asked for help calling a taxi to the airport, the staff arranged it promptly. The taxi arrived on time and was reasonably priced, which made our departure stress-free.
  Breakfasts at the hotel were simple but very tasty. We enjoyed them every single morning during our trip. It was the perfect way to start the day – fresh, satisfying, and consistent.
  Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming place to stay. Thank you to the entire team for making our trip so pleasant!
