It’s actually tucked away on this quiet stretch of the Pastida provincial road where you wouldn’t expect to find something this polished. I mean, Pastida isn’t exactly where most tourists end up on Rhodes – it’s more of a local village about 15 minutes inland from the airport chaos, which honestly makes it perfect if you want to experience how Greeks actually live without completely abandoning modern comforts.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s stylish relative designed it, not some cookie-cutter hotel chain. Everything’s thoughtfully put together – the kitchen actually has decent knives (travelers know this matters), there’s proper blackout curtains that block the morning sun, and the shower pressure is surprisingly strong for Greece. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night; you’re far enough from the coastal party zones but close enough that a quick drive gets you to Faliraki or Rhodes Town when you want action. The owner clearly knows the area well – they pointed me toward this little taverna in the village center that serves the kind of lamb that makes you understand why Greeks are so proud of their food. You won’t find it on TripAdvisor, but locals pack the place on Sunday afternoons.

Here’s the thing about staying in Pastida though – you’ll need a car, which most people renting luxury apartments probably have anyway. But once you do, you’re perfectly positioned for day trips to the quieter beaches on the west coast (Kameiros beach is only 20 minutes away and way less crowded than the eastern resorts), plus you can actually find parking in Rhodes Old Town if you get there early enough. The 9.4 rating makes sense when you factor in the space, the genuine hospitality, and honestly, the value – you’re getting a lot more room and authenticity than those resort hotels charge twice as much for. Just don’t expect resort-style services; this is more like borrowing a well-appointed Greek home, complete with the neighbor’s rooster that starts up around 6 AM (though the thick walls keep most of the sound out).

  Everything was very nice. The apartment was not only clean and cozy, but also very beautiful. Every amenity has been thought of, from washing powder to air conditioners in every room. In short, we were very satisfied. There was only one shortcoming, we had to park our car on the street, because there was no private parking.

  Appartamento veramente bello, ordinatissimo e pulitissimo.
  I proprietari gentilissimi, all'arrivo abbiamo trovato dolci e vino di ben venuto, il necessario per la colazione e Depie in più occasioni ci ha omaggiato con dolci da lei preparati e frutta.
  Pastida non è sul mare, ma per chi cerca un posto tranquillo e caratteristico è veramente il posto ideale.
