Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Courtyard Luxury Suites “MARIANTHI” in Pefki – I mean, the name alone sounds like it’s trying a bit too hard, right? But walking through those doors completely changed my tune. This place sits in one of those perfect spots where you’re far enough from the main Pefki strip to actually sleep at night, but close enough that you can still hear the distant hum of tavernas winding down around midnight.

The suites themselves are what really got me – and I’m someone who’s stayed in way too many “luxury” places that turned out to be anything but. Each room feels like someone actually lives there, not like a hotel decorator went wild with a catalog. The kitchenette isn’t just for show either; you can actually cook a proper meal, which is clutch when you want to grab fresh fish from the morning market down the road rather than paying restaurant prices every single night. The marble floors stay cool even during those brutal August afternoons, and honestly, the air conditioning works better than most places I’ve stayed on Rhodes. You know what surprised me most though? The soundproofing. I was expecting to hear every footstep from upstairs, but the place is dead quiet – crucial when you’re trying to recover from a day exploring the medieval city or hiking up to Tsambika Beach.

What really sets MARIANTHI apart is how the owners clearly get what travelers actually need. There’s proper parking (trust me, this matters more than you think in Pefki), the WiFi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and they’ve got this little communal area where you can grab coffee before heading out – nothing fancy, just good Greek coffee and a place to plan your day. The location is honestly perfect for exploring this part of Rhodes; you’re about a ten-minute walk to Pefki Beach, but you’re also positioned perfectly for day trips to Lindos or even up to the butterfly valley. The staff knows their stuff too – they pointed me toward this incredible little taverna tucked away behind the main square that I never would’ve found otherwise. I get why this place has a 9.9 rating; it’s one of those rare spots that actually delivers on what it promises without the usual hotel nonsense. You’re not paying for marble lobbies or fancy pools you’ll never use – you’re paying for a genuinely comfortable base that lets you experience Rhodes the way it’s supposed to be experienced.

  We liked everything from the location, to the host, the decor, garden area, kitchen facilities, smart TVs, dishwasher, even a cool bag to use on days out! … the list goes on. Cannot fault anything – and this from a normally picky reviewer!

  We enjoyed a lot to stay here. Everything was just perfect. The apartment is quite big, very tidy, modern and very well decorated and equipped with all you need for a comfy stay.
  Samantha is a very nice person and host! She let us a welcome gift in the fridge ( food&drinks: water, beer, a bottle of wine, bread, butter, fruits, milk, cereals, eggs), tea&cofee . As we arrived at the property after midnight the gift was so welcomed !

  Samantha is a wonderful host. She made our vacation so much more pleasant simply by her outstanding hospitality.
  The apartment is modern, clean and lacks nothing really. Even the fridge was filled with a wide variety of groceries on arrival.
  The beach is just around the corner and is one of the nicest we have seen on the island.

  Alles war perfekt. Ausstattung hochwertig. Lage ruhig und doch fußläufig zu Restaurants, Supermarkt, Strand.
  Wir haben ein kostenloses Upgrade auf das Apostolos Apartment bekommen. Das ist noch etwas größer und hat eine Waschmaschine.
  Wie schon beschrieben entspricht das Apartment genau den Bildern.
  Der Kühlschrank war reichlich mit Essen und Getränken gefüllt.
  Samantha hat uns freundlich empfangen und alles gezeigt.
  Die beiden Restaurants gleich beim Apartment bieten gute, griechische Küche. Das Philosophia hat eine schöne Terrasse mit Meerblick.
  Hier ist auch der Zugang zum Strand, über eine Steintreppe mit 65 Stufen.
  Ein weiterer Zugang, über eine breite Treppe mit Geländer, befindet sich im Hotel schräg gegenüber der Apartments.
  Der Strand ist schmal, mit feinem Sand, man braucht hier keine Badeschuhe. Liegen und Schirme sind vorhanden, teilweise sogar mit Kühlboxen ausgestattet. Es gibt Duschen und eine Kabine zum Umziehen.
  Weitere schöne Strände sind wenige Fahrminuten entfernt. Ebenso zahlreiche Restaurants und Geschäfte.
  Besonders gut hat uns gefallen, daß man auch die umliegenden Hotelpools benutzen darf.
  Unser Apartment hatte einen großen Platz mit Esstisch, Stühlen und einer Loungegarnitur nach vorne. Das haben wir aber nicht genutzt.
  Wir haben, wegen der Privatsphäre, den rückwärtigen, hübschen, von Mauern und Pflanzen umgebenen Hof bevorzugt.
  Handtuchwechsel und Reinigung konnten wir nach Wunsch mit Samantha vereinbaren.
  Am Abreistag durften wir sogar bis zum späten Nachmittag bleiben. Die Wohnungsübergabe war problemlos.
  Wir hatte eine rundum gelungene Urlaubswoche.
