Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Rhodes, but Cora May Central Villa actually surprised me – and honestly, that doesn’t happen often anymore. The name’s a bit of a mouthful, sure, but when you’re lounging by your own private pool at 10 AM with a coffee while other tourists are still fighting for beach chairs, you’ll forgive the marketing department.

The location is what really sold me on this place. You’re right in Iras, which is sort of the sweet spot between Faliraki’s party central and the quieter family areas. I mean, you can walk to the beach in about three minutes – I timed it because I’m weird like that – but you’re far enough from the main strip that you won’t hear drunk Brits singing football chants at 2 AM. Actually, the walk to the beach takes you past this little bakery that does incredible tyropita (cheese pies) in the morning, and the owner always remembers your order after like two visits. The villa itself feels more like someone’s stylish vacation home than a rental property, which I appreciate. The pool isn’t huge – maybe fits six people comfortably – but it’s perfectly maintained and gets sun pretty much all day. There’s this covered area with really comfortable loungers where you can escape when the afternoon heat gets brutal (and it will, especially in July and August). The kitchen is actually functional too, not just for show like some places. I ended up cooking a few meals because the local market on Thursdays has incredible fresh fish, and honestly, it was nice to have the option.

What really sets this place apart though is the attention to detail. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the property – revolutionary concept, I know. The air conditioning doesn’t sound like a dying helicopter. The beds are proper comfortable, not those rock-hard mattresses you sometimes get in Greek accommodations. And the owner, Maria, lives locally and responds to messages within like twenty minutes, which saved me when I couldn’t figure out the fancy coffee machine on day one. She also gave me the inside scoop on which beach tavernas are tourist traps (most of them on the main beach) and which ones locals actually eat at. The only minor thing is that parking can be a bit tight if you rent a car – there’s space, but you might need to do some creative maneuvering depending on what your neighbors are driving. Also, if you’re expecting resort-style amenities, this isn’t that kind of place. No spa, no restaurant, no entertainment program. But that’s exactly why I loved it – you get the privacy and space to do your own thing, but you’re still close enough to everything that you don’t feel isolated. For a 4-star property with a 9.5 rating, it actually lives up to the hype, which is rare these days.

  Everything was more than perfect. The villa was full equipped with all the things we needed during our stay. The pool was so clean and warm. Special thanks to the owners who welcomed us with pleasant gifts, led us through our holiday and responded quickly to all requests.

  Excellent villa, very modern close to all amenities & only 1 minute to the beach. Michael was a wonderful host, he welcomed us to his lovely home gave us lots of information on things to do & places to go. He provided us with a bag of goodies on arrival full of essentials, bread, juice, wine , cheese . We only had a short stay but will definitely return in the future. We also used the bus service (right outside villa) to visit Rhodes town and watch the sunset . Cleaner was a very friendly lady also but the pool & outside space was a total dream.

  This place is amazing! Great location, masses of space, both inside & outside. The bathroom is massive, with a great shower, the pool is fantastic & very clean. It is completely private. The place is exactly as shown in the pictures. Our host, Mike, was great & came to our rescue when our flight home was cancelled & we needed an additional night, which he arranged for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend- we will be back!

  Locatie is top! Dicht in de buurt van alles en geen overlast. Heerlijk zwembad en alle faciliteiten in het huisje.
  
  What could be improved: Eromheen is nog braakliggend terrein maar daar heb je in de bubbel van je huisje en zwembad geen last van.

  Lækkert smukt hus med alt hvad man kunne ønske sig. Rent og helt nyt. Super imødekommende og hjælpsomt personale.
  Fantastisk pool med dejligt udeområde. Tæt på stranden – tager 3 min at gå derned. Tæt på restauranter og forretninger.
  Perfekt med store børn.
  
  What could be improved: Der er liv og glade dage om aftenen som kan høres på terrassen. Heldigvis totalt stille i huset og om dagen.

  Die Lage war top. 2 Minuten von Restaurants, Bars und dem Meer. Trotzdem ruhig am Abend. Neue Ausstattung, schöner moderner Aussenbereich und Innenbereich.
  Alles schön wie auf den Bildern.
  Parkplatz, Handtücher zum duschen, für den Pool und das Meer. Wifi 10/10.
