Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked up to City Compass Luxury Suites on Δηλμπεράκη street – I mean, the name sounds a bit corporate, right? But you know what really caught me off guard was how this place manages to feel like a proper boutique hotel tucked away in one of Rhodes Town’s quieter residential pockets. The building itself has this understated elegance that fits perfectly with the neighborhood’s mix of neoclassical houses and modern apartments, and when you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually thought about every detail.

The suites themselves are honestly impressive – we’re talking proper living spaces here, not just hotel rooms with a mini-fridge shoved in the corner. The kitchenettes are actually functional (I made coffee every morning and even managed a simple breakfast), and the separate sleeping areas mean you can spread out without feeling like you’re living out of a suitcase. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays, even though you’re only about a ten-minute walk from the buzzing old town. The sound insulation is solid, which matters because Rhodes Town can get pretty lively, especially during summer nights when the tavernas along Sokratous street are in full swing. The air conditioning works like a dream too – and trust me, you’ll need it if you’re visiting between June and September.

Location-wise, this is where City Compass really shines, though you might not realize it immediately. Sure, you’re not right in the thick of the medieval old town, but that’s actually a blessing. You get the best of both worlds – easy walking distance to all the major sites (the Palace of the Grand Master is maybe fifteen minutes on foot), but you’re staying in an area where actual locals live and work. There’s a fantastic little bakery just around the corner that opens early, and the closest bus stop connects you to the beach areas without any hassle. Parking can be a bit tricky on the street, but the staff helped us figure out the closest public lot, and honestly, once you’re settled, you won’t need a car much anyway. The front desk team – well, they’re the kind of people who remember your name and actually seem happy to help, which isn’t always a given at four-star places. Check-in was smooth, they had solid recommendations for dinner spots (steer clear of the touristy places near Mandraki Harbor and head to the neighborhoods where you hear more Greek than English), and they were realistic about timing for everything. The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here – it’s not trying to be flashy or over-the-top luxurious, but everything just works the way it should, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want when you’re exploring a place as incredible as Rhodes.

  The house was exceptionally clean, tidy, and well-maintained. It was fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, including two air conditioners, a complete kitchen setup, microwave, iron, and two large TVs. The host went above and beyond by leaving a generous selection of welcome gifts—coffee capsules, cookies, fresh fruit, wine, and bottled water—which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated touch.
  
  The location is excellent, with plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby, and the beach is just a short 5-minute walk away. All the windows are soundproof, ensuring a quiet and restful environment despite the central location.
  
  Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I would definitely recommend this place to others.
  
  What could be improved: The internet connection was occasionally quite slow, making it difficult to join online meetings reliably.

  We immediately felt at home, very good room layout, and we were able to retreat to the city. There are two outdoor areas: A seating area in front of the house and a private terrace behind the house, with nice lighting and seating area.
  We also found the location very good: the flat is in a small, quiet pedestrian street, in a neighbourhood with many restaurants and cafés.
  We really enjoyed the hospitality.

  My staying was amazing…. i really enjoyed the hospitality since the apartment was full of free welcoming treats and fruits. Very organised place in the center of Rhodes, clean and comfy. The host Panos helped me with everything i needed. I made the best memories in the island!
