Hotel Description

You know what hit me first about Christiana Hotel Apartments? It’s actually in Gennadi, which – if you haven’t been to this part of Rhodes – feels like you’ve found the island’s best-kept secret. I mean, most people get stuck around Rhodes Town or Lindos, but down here in the south, things are quieter, more authentic. The property sits right where you can walk to that gorgeous stretch of beach that locals call one of the longest on the island, and honestly, they’re not wrong.

The apartments themselves are pretty solid for a 4-star setup. I stayed in one of the larger units and was pleasantly surprised by how much space there actually was – like, you could spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase for a week. The kitchenette situation is legit too, which matters because while Gennadi has some decent tavernas (there’s this family-run place just down the road that does incredible fresh fish), sometimes you just want to grab groceries from the local mini-market and make your own Greek salad, you know? The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the property, which I can’t say for every place I’ve stayed on the Greek islands.

What really makes this spot work is the location within Gennadi itself. You’re close enough to hear the waves at night – that constant gentle sound that either puts you right to sleep or keeps you up because you want to walk down to the water one more time. The village center is maybe a five-minute walk, so you can easily get to the bakery for morning tiropita or hit up one of the cafés for proper Greek coffee. Plus, and this is something I wish I’d known before my first trip here, Gennadi is perfectly positioned for day trips south to Prasonisi (where the windsurfers go crazy) or north to the Seven Springs area. The bus connections aren’t terrible, but honestly, having a rental car makes way more sense if you want to explore properly. Parking at the hotel is straightforward – no hunting around narrow village streets or anything stressful like that. The staff seem to genuinely know the area well too, not just the touristy stuff but actual local recommendations that pan out when you follow them.

  Nice and very well equiped apartments close to Gennadi's center.
  The apartment was clean and comfortable.

  Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were a really good size and very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Good location, only minutes from the centre.
  
  What could be improved: Some of the furnishings and electrics were a little old and tired. The shower rail was set up rather strangely, so everything got soaked. Bed linen was very clean. The towels were changed regularly and they were clean but didn’t look it.

  The studio was simple but very clean. Large comfortable bed. Nice size balcony. Ceiling fan and air conditioning which we didnt need anymore at the end of September. Quiet location near the centre of a cute little village with few shops, tasty restaurants and cafes.
  
  What could be improved: More kitchenware would be useful. The shower had to be used without the curtain as it was quite small space.

  The location is perfect, very quiet area near the beach, restaurants and shops. The apartment is lovely with everything that I needed. The breakfast is good with different options. The staff are amazing Aleksia, Mimosa, Bella and Kosta are very kind and always there if you need them, Alexandra is very kind and cool, the cats are very sweet, I felt part of the family while I was there, they treated me very well ❤️ I hope I can return next year. 👌🏽❤️

  Our apartment had everything we needed. It was comfortable and always very clean. Breakfast is delicious and always prepared with a smile:)
  Great location – very close to the beach and to the village center. In the center you can find amazing restaurants, live music, and the most important shops – grocery, fruit & vegetables, bakery, cafes, etc. We rented a car and travelled around the island – parking in front of the hotel was easy and free.

  I Highly recommend this hotel!
  
  The city: Quet and relaxing, if you have a car you can reach a lot of beaches but the bus is pretty frequent too. Definitly go to the centre of the city, there are restaurant in one street with traditional food and exellent service.
  The room: Had everything we needed. The staff was very attentive to change the amenities. The room was also very clean.
  The breakfast: The morning staff was very friendly too, and the breakfast had a lot of things and was freshly made to everybody upon arrival.
  
  They also have a bar at the evening (19.00-23.00), the bartender was very kind and helpful if I had any question.

  I didn't expect anything but a comfortable bed. But it appears that Christiana hotel provides excellent service, cleaning every day apart Sunday. Very quiet at night, friendly staff. We booked an apt for 4 people and had two separate balconies which was awesome! The shower is not the best, but enough for one week usage. We felt absolutely happy about the place, definitely would recommend staying for holidays. Gennadi is beautiful itself, you can find everything you need in a small cute village near the sea.

  Everything was perfect! There is a welcoming attitude from the minute you set foot inside this little gem of a place. Breakfast fit for a king, that sets you up for the day in a beautiful little village.

  Very nice hotel. Close to the sea, close to local restaurants and shops. We chose the option with breakfast and the breakfasts were very tasty and filling, freshly prepared. The hotel employees and the owner are very nice, smiling, they told us about places to visit. In general, the atmosphere in the hotel is as if you have come somewhere to visit your distant relatives and they warmly welcome you there. Every day they cleaned our room and gave us clean towels. Looking at the fact that we rented a car and wanted to travel a lot around the island, this hotel suited us perfectly. Thank you for the warm welcome and good rest. I will miss you and hope that we will meet again someday ❤️
