So I stumbled across Casa Rodi during my second trip to Rhodes, and honestly? I’m kicking myself for not finding it sooner. It’s tucked away on the first floor of this building on Amerikis Street – you know, that stretch that runs parallel to the harbor where all the locals actually walk instead of the touristy waterfront promenade. The entrance is easy to miss if you’re not looking for it, which is probably why it feels like such a hidden gem.

What really struck me about this place is how it manages to feel both central and peaceful at the same time. I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from Mandraki Harbor (where those famous deer statues are), but somehow the street noise just doesn’t penetrate much. Maybe it’s because you’re on the first floor, or maybe the owners just know how to pick their windows – either way, I actually slept past 8 AM most mornings, which never happens to me in Greek island towns. The rooms have this warm, lived-in feel that’s way more comfortable than those sterile boutique places you see everywhere now. Everything’s thoughtfully arranged, and you can tell someone actually cares about the details – like, there were these beautiful local ceramics in the bathroom that I kept meaning to ask about but never remembered to.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to experience Rhodes Town like a person and not just a tourist. There’s this little kafeneio right around the corner where the old guys play backgammon every afternoon, and if you head down toward the Old Town (maybe five minutes on foot), you hit all those winding streets without having to deal with the cruise ship crowds first thing in the morning. I spent most evenings walking back from dinner through the medieval streets, and there’s something magical about approaching Casa Rodi after wandering through all that ancient stone – it feels like coming home. The owners were incredibly helpful too, though not in that overly attentive way that makes you feel like you’re being watched. More like… they’d appear exactly when you needed something and otherwise let you be. And parking – which is usually a nightmare in Rhodes Town – was actually manageable since they know all the local tricks and can point you toward spots that aren’t marked on any tourist map. You know what? At a 9.2 rating, this place is exactly what you’d hope for without any of the pretension you might expect from a four-star spot in such a prime location.

  Casa Rodi is a huge 2 bedroom apartment right in the heart of the city of Rodos, very close to the old medieval city and just a few minutes away from beautiful beaches. It is a very quiet place in the middle of the action. The hostess, Giulia, is very gentle, always available and responded quickly to our needs. She reserved a taxi for us from the airport to the city, she waited for us in person for our check-in and took a lot of time to offer to us suggestions of places to visit and restaurants to eat. At the end of our 6 day visit she even offered us to stay beyond checking out time until our afternoon flight. We appreciated the cleanliness and decoration of the fully equipped apartment. We enjoyed our stay and we will definitely stay again on our next visit to Rodos.
  
  What could be improved: We should have stayed a few more nights to further enjoy Rodos and the appartment!

  The appartment was close too everything, the beach, shopping, restaurants and supermarkets. Giulia made sure to always be reached and came with great suggestions and recommendations for restaurants and activities.

  Location is excellent-close to everything (beach, shops, port, old town…). Very well equipped apartment and brilliant and all time very supportive host!

  The Location was brilliant, most days able to park on the street otherwise we parked on a free carpark short walk away. Fully equipped kitchen, adequate bathroom very comfortable beds. Plenty of towels and clean bedding which were changed after 7 days. The apartment is on the first floor with no lift so there are 3 sets of stairs, one set from the street the other 2 inside to the apartment. Could be a problem for guests with walking difficulties.
