You know what caught me off guard about Casa Nikolou Stegna? It’s actually tucked right into this quiet stretch of Stegna beach where most tourists haven’t figured out to look yet. I mean, everyone’s busy fighting for spots in Rhodes Town or Lindos, but here you’ve got this genuine Greek coastal vibe without the chaos. The place sits maybe 200 meters from the water – close enough that you can hear the waves from your balcony, but far enough back that you’re not dealing with beach noise all night.

The owners clearly get what travelers actually want. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward (none of that hovering-around-the-lobby-for-an-hour nonsense), and honestly, the rooms feel more thoughtfully put together than half the five-star places I’ve stayed at. Everything’s clean without being sterile, and there’s this attention to small details that matters – like actually good water pressure and outlets where you need them. The balconies are generous too, which is something you can’t take for granted in Greece. I spent most mornings out there with coffee, watching the fishing boats head out from Stegna’s little harbor. The beach itself is this lovely mix of sand and smooth pebbles, and it stays relatively calm even when other parts of the island get choppy.

What really sold me on the place was how it sits in the broader area – you’re about a fifteen-minute drive from Archangelos village, which has some of the best tavernas on this side of Rhodes (definitely try Manolis if you make it there). The location gives you easy access to the east coast beaches without being stuck in resort-land. Parking’s never an issue, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re trying to explore. The staff knows the area well too – not just the obvious tourist spots, but where to find the good hiking trails and which beaches are worth the drive. I ended up at this incredible cove about twenty minutes south that I never would’ve found otherwise. Casa Nikolou strikes that sweet spot between being comfortable enough to relax properly and positioned well enough to actually see the island. It’s the kind of place where a 9.1 rating makes complete sense once you’ve been there.

  The apartment is very well equipped and has a lot of comforts!

  The house is new, modern and spacious. Two bedrooms, all devices (air con, wifi, tv) were working very well. Internet was stable at all times. There was even German TV available. Bathroom was clean and spacious. The terrasse was big in the middle of a garden, beach and main street are only 5 min walk away. The house offers its own parking space next to the entrance.
  
  What could be improved: Just a few cosmetic things, nothing critical. The interior appears a bit cold, there is one slim sofa but TV at the other end of the room. It looks a bit too modern, not really cozy. The kitchen is part of the living room but a bit small and lacks some parts: e.g. a toaster would be very nice, more knifes. The sink looks self-constructed and is not ideal.

  La casa è nuovissima, arredata con gusto, spaziosa. È dotata di spazio esterno verandato, in posizione ventilata con frutteto antistante e posto auto interno. Silenziosa. C'è anche una vasca idromassaggio all'esterno. All'interno c'è tutto il necessario, le zanzariere ad ogni finestra e alla porta. La camere arieggiate dotate di un materasso molto comodo lungo 2 mt! Il bagno comodo con doccia e asciugacapelli potente. C'è anche un comodo ripostiglio-lavanderia. Ci sono 3 televisori di cui uno di 50 pollici in sala tutti collegati al WiFi con possibilità di vedere Netflix o Prime video. Dista circa 150 metri dal mare.

  Просторный дом, отличная терраса, рядом с которой фруктовый сад. Хозяева всегда готовы были помочь. Близко к морю. С питанием никаких проблем (ресторанчики на каждом шагу и в магазине можно купить все необходимое). Уборка и смена полотенец каждые 4 дня.

  Stegna beach, jonne oli majoituksesta noin 50m matka kävellen, on mukavan rauhallinen ranta jossa on kuitenkin kaikki tarvittavat palvelut. Pari ruokakauppaa ja ravintoloita niin että ei tarvitse viikon aikana mennä kahta kertaa samaan paikkaan.
  
  What could be improved: Varustuksessa oli pieniä puutteita, kuten paistinpannu ja paistinlasta, mutta ei mitään isompaa.

  Sijainti hyvä ja rauhallinen alue. Rantaan vain parin min kävely, ei korkeuseroja. Ravintolat ja kaupat lähellä. Erittäin hyvä uimaranta, hiekkapohja mutta myös nähtävää snorklatessa.
  Talossa hyvä pohja, 2 mh. Kaikissa huoneissa hyvä ilmastointi. Tilava suihkukaappi, joka ei vuotanut.
  
  Kun netti lopulta saatiin, toimi erittäin hyvin.
  
  What could be improved: Netti ei toiminut ollenkaan kolmen ensimmäisen päivän aikana yhdeksän päivän lomastamme. Myös tv oli netin kautta. Tilanteen selvittely oli työlästä.
