You know what struck me first about Casa Kastellania? It’s actually tucked right into the heart of Rhodes Old Town on Aristotelous Street, but somehow it doesn’t feel touristy at all. I mean, you’re literally steps away from all the medieval chaos – the Street of the Knights, the Palace of the Grand Masters, those tourist shops selling overpriced sponges – but the moment you step through their entrance, it’s like finding this calm pocket of elegance. The building itself has that perfect Greek island vibe where traditional architecture meets modern comfort without trying too hard, if that makes sense. And honestly, the 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there.

What really gets me about this place is how they’ve nailed the details that actually matter when you’re traveling. The rooms – well, they’re not huge, but they’re thoughtfully designed with these gorgeous stone accents and views that make you want to linger on your little balcony with coffee way longer than you planned. The staff genuinely knows the area, not just the scripted recommendations. They’ll tell you which tavernas the locals actually eat at (there’s this tiny place around the corner that doesn’t even have a proper sign), or when to hit the walls for photos without the cruise ship crowds. Speaking of crowds, here’s something I appreciated – Casa Kastellania sits just far enough from the main drag that you’re not dealing with the late-night party noise, but close enough that you can stumble back after dinner without getting lost in those winding medieval streets. Trust me, that matters more than you think after a few glasses of local wine.

The whole experience feels authentically Greek without being kitschy about it. Breakfast happens in this lovely courtyard where you can hear the city waking up – church bells, delivery trucks navigating those impossibly narrow streets, locals chatting with neighbors. It’s real life, not a resort bubble. And parking? They’ve actually sorted that nightmare out, which anyone who’s driven in Rhodes Town will tell you is basically miraculous. I stayed there in late September, which is honestly the perfect time – still warm enough for swimming, but the August madness has died down and you can actually move around the Old Town without feeling like sardines. The four-star rating feels right too – it’s polished and comfortable without being stuffy or overpriced. If you’re the type who wants to really experience Rhodes rather than just Instagram it, Casa Kastellania gets it right.

  Excellent location and castle-like atmosphere in the heart of the old town! Exactly what i was looking for!
  Even coffee and drinking-water was provided, many thanks!
  Very spacious suite, modernized where needed, very clean, appropriate traditional style, all available and functioning and in good condition.
  Something outstanding to remember and to repeat, hope I will come again. Many thanks!
  
  What could be improved: A bit noisy until midnight (most guests will enjoy the old town until that time anyway) and in the morning (deliveries to shops) which one gets used to quickly and is no more disturbing once known. No surprise in that central location. Smallest bathroom possible but everything available and working (because of limited space in old buildings, but that gives the brilliant atmosphere). I think both could not be changed anyway.

  I love the View onto the street from the balconies and having the extra space to spread out.
  
  What could be improved: Because of the location on a main street in the old city there's a town,.It can be a bit noisy at night. This was improved by shutting all the doors in windows.

  A spacious apartment with separate kitchen – we only made hot drinks. There is a large living/dining area and off of that is a small balcony overlooking a pedestrian street with shops. There is a roof terrace off the upper bedroom. An easy walk with luggage from Marine Gate and also to the ferry port.
  
  What could be improved: The hand held shower hose is not ideal. There is no space for a shower curtain around the shower tray so water goes everywhere. However there is a rubber floor squeegee mop to clear it up.

  Casa Kastellania is located right in the Old Town Rhodes commercial also restaurants area. Location is spacious for a couple offering views of old town providing facilities for cooking. Host is very kind ready to provide all the support you need.

  very very central location but quiet in the evenings once the cruise ships have left – great bed and living room space and access to private balcony and roof terrace

  The Aircon is Great
  Cleanliness is super ,
  theres enough Supplies,
  the location is great -its near to all public transportation
  the Restaurants and shopping is right there
  the Bakery and supermarket is just around the corner

  What could be improved: The Bathroom is very small, the WC and sink in there is OK but the shower is really small – but for this old house in old city Rhodes i understand that its not easy to have permit to re build or any changes.
