You know what struck me first about Casa di Rea Sanfilippo? It’s tucked away in Soroni in this almost secretive way that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something the tour buses haven’t found yet. I mean, Soroni isn’t exactly on everyone’s Rhodes itinerary – it’s about twenty minutes inland from the coast, which honestly works in your favor because you get this authentic Greek village vibe without the cruise ship crowds. The hotel itself has that understated elegance thing going on, where it’s clearly well-maintained and thoughtful but not trying too hard to impress you with marble everything and gold fixtures.

The owners – and I’m pretty sure they’re actually around, not just some faceless management company – seem to have figured out that sweet spot between comfort and character. Your room feels lived-in in the best way, like staying at the house of a Greek friend who happens to have really good taste. The beds are actually comfortable (you’d be surprised how many boutique places mess this up), and there’s this attention to small details that you notice throughout your stay. Maybe it’s the way they’ve arranged the traditional pottery, or how the breakfast includes local honey that’s clearly not from some industrial supplier. The whole place has this 9.2 rating for a reason – it’s the kind of spot where everything just works without feeling corporate or sterile.

What really sold me on the place was how it connects you to the real Soroni. You’re walking distance from the village center where locals actually hang out, not just souvenir shops targeting tourists. There’s this family-run taverna about five minutes away where the grandmother still makes the bread every morning – honestly, you can smell it from the hotel some days. The location means you can easily drive to the famous Butterfly Valley or the castle at Monolithos, but you’re also perfectly positioned to explore the inland villages that most visitors completely skip. Parking isn’t an issue here like it is closer to Rhodes Town, and the nights are properly quiet – no air conditioning units humming outside your window or drunk tourists stumbling back from bars at 3 AM. I actually slept better here than I have in months. If you’re the type who wants to experience Rhodes beyond the ancient city and beach clubs, this place gets it right in a way that feels effortless.

  Great house, all as described, nice pool, very good communication without delay, nice area, very calm, for up to 4 people absolutely recommended, supermarket and restaurants only few minutes away. Only 15 minutes by car to the airport.

  A beautiful house with a nice pool on the quiet side of Rhodos. The welcome was great with some gifts and chilled wine! The house is decorated in contemporary style, the garden with pool was great with sun beds and a 'chill' corner.
  In Soroni about 1,5km away you'll find everything you need with a supermarket, a very good seafood shop/take-away, a few restaurants, bakery and a nice bar… The pebble beach is a 100m away and almost 'private' with a stunning sunset! Michael the host was excellent to communicate with.
  
  What could be improved: You'll need a car, but that's no downside when you want to discover the beautiful Rhodos!

  Everything from the peaceful location, to a beautiful house, large pool and cozy furniture were perfect and far surpassed other locations.
  The house was clean and the beds comfortable.
  At arrival I found plenty of supplies, which the owner so kindly prepared.
  A few cats in the area added some fun to the whole duration of the stay.
  For anyone who prefers a luxurious stay away from touristy noises, this accomodation will serve you the best.

  The welcome was fantastic…everything we needed and more, water, milk, bread, jams, fruit and a welcome gift. Great villa, great pool with inflatables. Great setting and wonderful communication with the host.

  the area around was quiet, the villa is far from tourist spots, which was exactly what we wanted. The villa is comfortable and has everything you need to have a good vacation. We enjoyed the pool most!
  
  What could be improved: the bars and restaurants are not within a walking distance and since you need to drive you can't drink;) the only restaurant within our reach was Elena, we eat there a couple of times, but the food isn't very diverse.

  Von der Buchung bis zur Abreise war es außergewöhnlich und beeindruckend, denn der Kontakt war absolut spitze. Ich bin geschäftlich häufig unterwegs und selten wurde ich so überrascht wie bei Casa di Rea Sanfilippo. Es gab die Möglichkeit, einen frühen Check-in zu machen, da niemand vorher gebucht hatte und beim Ankommen in der Villa war ein riesiges Carepaket vorbereitet, mit lokalen Köstlichkeiten, Obst, einer Flasche Wein und gebackenen Muffins und Kuchen. Ein absoluter Traum! – sogar Postkasten und Magnete waren dabei, was einen Besuch im Touristen-Shop erspart 🙂
  
  Der Kühlschrank war mit den wichtigsten Dingen gefüllt und für die ersten Tage war man somit versorgt. Die Unterkunft war absolut sauber und perfekt gepflegt, es gab ausführliche Informationen und Updates rund um Attraktionen und wichtige Informationen aus der Gegend, und wenn ich eine Frage hatte, wurde schnell und unkompliziert geantwortet. Aus meiner Sicht kann jedes Hotel dagegen noch viel von der Casa di Rea Sanfilippo lernen.
  
  Die Handtücher waren wie neu, es gab viele Hygiene-Artikel (Feuchttücher, Cremes, Duschbad und selbst Haarspray und Haargel sowie auch Damen-Hygiene war vorhanden – so etwas habe ich eindeutig selten erlebt.)
  
  Aus meiner Sicht ein absoluter Höhepunkt der Insel und nur knappe 10 Minuten vom Flughafen entfernt und sehr ruhig, mit Meerblick direkt aus dem Bett heraus.
  
  What could be improved: Wenn es hier etwas zu bemängeln gibt, dann sollte man als Gast ernsthaft über seine Ansprüche an eine Unterkunft nachdenken. Denn Service wurde hier so gut gemacht, dass ich fast behaupten würde, dass jemand aus Deutschland eine Unterkunft auf Rhodos eröffnet hat, denn es wurde wirklich an alles gedacht.

  Das Haus war perfekt, es war wunderschön und geschmackvoll dekoriert. Es war alles da, der Gastgeber hat Obst , Säfte, Wein und Tee/ Kaffee bereitgestellt und er war bei Problemen leicht zu erreichen und hat alles sofort behoben.
  
  What could be improved: Leider gab es stätigen Fluglärm, durch die nähe zum Flughafen.

  Alles war super, absolute 10/10. Schöne Villa, kleines Willkommenspaket mit griechischen Snacks, vernünftig ausgestattete Küche, sodass man nicht sofort einkaufen muss. Die Kommunikation mit Michael war komplett unkompliziert, schnell und immer hilfreich

  Ausstattung und Komfort sind perfekt. Wer Ruhe und Einsamkeit sucht ist hier richtig, für die allgemeine Versorgung benötigt man jedoch ein Auto.
