You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Casa di Marillia in Archangelos – honestly, most people rush straight to Rhodes Town or Lindos and completely skip this part of the island. But man, what a mistake that would be. This place sits right in the heart of Archangelos village, and I mean the real heart of it, not some touristy strip. You’re literally steps away from the local kafeneio where the old guys play backgammon until way too late, and there’s this amazing bakery (I think it’s called Manolis or something) just down the narrow street where you can grab fresh tyropita that’s still warm at like 7 AM.

The hotel itself is one of those gems that makes you feel like you stumbled onto something special. It’s got that traditional Rhodian architecture – you know, the whitewashed walls and blue shutters thing – but it doesn’t feel forced or fake like some places do. The rooms are actually spacious, which surprised me because a lot of these converted village houses can be pretty cramped. What really got me was the attention to detail… I mean, they’ve got these hand-painted ceramic tiles in the bathrooms that look like they came from a local artisan, and the beds are seriously comfortable. The kind where you actually sleep through the night instead of tossing around on some lumpy mattress. And here’s the thing about staying in Archangelos – it’s quiet. Like, properly quiet. No drunk tourists stumbling around at 3 AM, no disco music thumping from next door. Just the occasional sound of a motorbike puttering through the village or church bells in the morning.

What makes Casa di Marillia special though is how the staff – and I think some of them are family, honestly – know absolutely everything about this area. They’ll tell you about the hiking trail that starts basically behind the village church and leads up to the Tsambika monastery (do this at sunset, trust me), or point you toward that little beach at Stegna that’s about a 10-minute drive away but feels like your own private cove. The breakfast is proper Greek – none of that international buffet nonsense – with local honey, fresh bread, and tomatoes that actually taste like tomatoes. Parking is easy too, which anyone who’s driven around Rhodes will appreciate. Look, if you want to experience Rhodes like locals do, without the cruise ship crowds but still close enough to hit the famous spots when you want to, this is your place. Archangelos is perfectly positioned – you’re 20 minutes from Lindos, 30 from Rhodes Town, but you get to come home to somewhere that feels authentic. Casa di Marillia gets that balance exactly right.

  Wonderful location in the heart of Archangelos village, easy to walk to the center and many different restaurants and shopping areas. The private parking we had was so essential and helpful. The accuracy of the listing, cleanliness of the place and amenities provided such as toiletries and water/wine upon arrival. Management team was amazing, also provided info and ideas for things to do around town.
  An incredible place to stay on Rhodes island. The decoration is beautiful, the accommodation is very unique, very well placed. Excellent service of hosting and cleanliness, welcoming, and very attentive. We recommend and will come back!

  This stylish and cozy Casa di Marillia left us speechless and made our time in Rhodes way better. Everything was perfect, especially the warm welcoming (a fridge prepared with water, wine and snacks) and the help of the host whenever we had questions etc. The property itself looked amazing, with charming, modern and comfortable furniture. The property is perfectly located to everything you need to see in Rhodes, beaches and cafes/supermarkets.
  The internet connection is excellent and the kitchen is well equipped. The bathroom is sparkly clean and the bed is very comfortable. Our highlight was the terrace where we could enjoy our evenings/mornings with the amazing jacuzzi. Highly recommend staying here. Thanks again for our lovely stay, we will definitely come again.

  My experience staying at this property was absolutely amazing. First of all, the Suite itself is absolutely gorgeous and will surely leave an impression on anyone that walks inside. The style and design are amazing and unique. The owners, went above and beyond: he met us in the property and welcomed us and showed everything, and offered his assistance 24/7. The property was stocked with drinks, and all the amenities that we needed. The jacuzzi experience was incredible. The property was also spotless and everything was brand new. There was Wi-Fi, of course, and even a TV with Netflix. After I sent some pictures back home, my parents immediately wanted to visit the island and stay in the same place. I fell in love with the place and the neighborhood. Overall, this experience exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend this property to everyone.

  Communicatie vooraf was goed en op moment dat we de auto hadden opgehaald hebben we contact gehad en zijn naar de afgesproken locatie gereden en daar werden we opgehaald door de host en zij heeft ons naar de locatie gebracht.
  
  Bij aankomst stond er een zelfgebakken cake, een heerlijke zelfgemaakte verse Pastitsio voor lunch / diner, flessen water, wijntje en nog meer in de koelkast.
  
  Een super mooie en luxe Casa met alle noodzakelijke voorzieningen. De Casa is gelegen in een doodlopend straatje met aardige locals als buren.
  
  Het plaatsje Archangelos is niet echt toeristisch maar omdat het in het midden van het eiland ligt goed te bereizen naar de verschillende dorpjes en stranden.
  
  Wij hebben genoten en is echt een aanrader!

  Logement identique aux photos c’est à dire moderne, propre…
  Nous avons été accueillis très chaleureusement avec un frigo rempli, un plat de pastitio nous attendait dans le four, ainsi qu’un gâteau maison! Merci pour tout!

  Abbiamo passato 10 giorni in questo splendido appartamento ed è stato tutto perfetto,inizio dicendo che appena arrivati ci ha accolto la proprietaria di una gentilezza disarmante, ci ha fatto trovare il frigorifero pieno di un po' di tutto ma non contenta a metà soggiorno ci ha portato una specialità greca preparata dalla sua mamma! la casa è proprio come nelle foto ma quello che non si vede è che è super attrezzata e pulitissima.Il patio x cenare fuori è bellissimo e il posto auto non guasta. Arcangelos è in una posizione centrale rispetto all'isola e in poco tempo raggiungi tutti i posti di interesse. Un appartamento che consiglierei!
