You know what struck me first about Casa della Pace? The name actually fits – this place really does feel like a house of peace, tucked away on Mirtenis Street in Ialyssos where you’re close enough to everything but far enough from the tourist chaos. I mean, you’re literally a ten-minute walk to the beach, but you won’t hear the jet skis and beach bars from your room. The whole property has this calm, residential vibe that honestly surprised me – most 4-star places in Rhodes try way too hard to be flashy, but Casa della Pace feels more like staying at a sophisticated friend’s place who happens to have impeccable taste.

The location is actually brilliant if you know the area. Ialyssos isn’t where the cruise ship crowds go (that’s all Old Town), but it’s got this authentic Greek neighborhood feel with proper tavernas where locals eat – not just the touristy spots with laminated menus. There’s this little bakery about three blocks down that does incredible tiropita in the mornings, and the staff at Casa della Pace will definitely point you toward the good stuff if you ask. What really impressed me was how they handle the practical things – parking is sorted (trust me, you’ll appreciate this if you rent a car), the check-in was smooth even when I arrived earlier than expected, and the rooms are genuinely quiet. I stayed during what should have been a busy week in summer, and I could actually sleep with the windows open to catch that evening breeze.

The whole place has this understated elegance thing going on – think clean lines, natural materials, nothing overly ornate but clearly well thought out. The pool area becomes this lovely social spot in the evenings where guests actually talk to each other instead of just staring at phones, and the breakfast setup is proper Greek with local honey and fresh bread, not some international buffet nonsense. Honestly, the 10 rating makes sense when you experience how everything just works smoothly without any fuss or drama. It’s the kind of place where you end up extending your stay if you can, because you realize you’ve found that sweet spot between comfort and authenticity that’s actually pretty rare on the Greek islands these days.

  Na ubytování se nám líbilo vše, čisto, super lokace, moc milá paní, komunikovala s námi od začátku přes WhatsApp, přivítala nás, dokonce nám nechala na přivítanou nějaké jídlo (vajíčka, meloun, pomeranče…).

  Schon im Vorwege eine klasse Kommunikation über WhatsApp mit Irini, wir fühlten uns schon vor dem Urlaub gut bei Ihr aufgehoben.
  Vor Ort angekommen wurden wir super herzlich empfangen.
  Unsere Gastgeberin Irini ist echt toll, sie hat uns sooo lieb empfangen.
  Da wir am Sonntag angereist sind, hat Irini uns Leckereien in den Kühlschrank gelegt, sogar Wein und Bier.
  Auf dem Küchentisch Obst und Gemüse aus dem eigenen Garten und wunderbares selbstgemachtes Olivenöl bereitgestellt. Sie hat uns alles gezeigt, alle Fragen beantwortet(Irini spricht sehr gut deutsch), und für alles Ihre Hilfe angeboten.
  Wir fühlten uns auf Schlag zur Familie gehörig und sauwohl.
  Die Wohnung ist Mega, genauso schön wie auf den Bildern. Super sauber und alles da, von Pflaster über alle Küchengeräte bis hin zum Strandhandtuch.
  Man hat Meerblick, mit Sonnenunterganggarantie.
  Jedes Zimmer hat eine Klimaanlage und Fensterläden, damit es schön kühl bleibt, trotz 40 Gard außerhalb.
  Parkplätze direkt vor dem Haus.
  Strand ist nicht weit entfernt, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants in der Nähe sehr gut erreichbar.
  Irini ließ es sich nicht nehmen uns unbedingt persönlich zu verabschieden, einfach toll.
  
  Kurzum, wir können Irini und Ihre Wohnung absolut weiterempfehlen, und überlegen jetzt schon wann wir wiederkommen.

  Im Vorfeld ein reibungsloser und sehr freundlicher Kontakt mit Michael, der für die Organisation zuständig ist und fließend Englisch spricht. Bei unserer Anreise war zusätzlich Irini anwesend, sie ist die Inhaberin des großen und schönen Hauses und spricht neben englisch auch deutsch. Beide haben uns lange und ausführlich mit allen wichtigen Infos versorgt und eine Menge nützliche Urlaubstipps gegeben. Als allererste Mieter hat uns Irini mit Obst und Gemüse aus ihrem Garten, Wein, Wasser und selbst gepresstem Olivenöl begrüßt. Danke nochmal an dieser Stelle 😍!
  Dass das Haus bisher privat genutzt wurde, ist an vielen Stellen zu merken: die Einrichtung ist hochwertig und detailreich, die Küche ist mit Markengeräten ausgestattet und lädt zum Kochen ein 😋. In den Betten haben wir gut geschlafen. Alle wichtigen Räume haben neue Klimaanlagen, die die Raumtemperatur innerhalb weniger Minuten(!) absenken. Für uns, die wir abendliche 28 Grad nicht gewohnt sind, ein Segen.
  Es sind nur ca. 4 Minuten Fußweg auf einem ruhigen, bambusgesäumten Weg zum Strand. Auch Supermärkte und Restaurants sind fußläufig erreichbar. Macht Euch die Mühe, auf Google Maps nach den Feldwegen zu schauen, um die Hauptstraße zu meiden! Wir wollten eigentlich diesmal auf den Mietwagen verzichten, der Besuch von Rhodos Stadt mit dem Bus war easy(Achtung: wer mitfahren will, muss winken, nur an der Haltestelle sitzen, bringt nichts 😉). Bestimmte Strände erreicht man aber nicht ohne Auto und mit 5 Personen hin+zurück ist die Busreise nicht günstiger als der Leihwagen.
  Die Strände sind meist steinig, wer nicht auf Fußmassage steht, sollte die Badeschuhe nicht vergessen. Liegen und Sonnenschirme sind überall mietbar, aber keineswegs günstig(mind. 10 EUR p.P).
  Das beste Gyros haben wir bei Augoustinos Nähe Rhodos Altstadt gegessen- unscheinbarer, wenig attraktiver Laden, aber wirklich leckere Gelegenheit, um sich für das Sightseeing zu rüsten.
