Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Casa Arches? I was expecting another generic Rhodes hotel, but this place actually feels like someone’s carefully curated home that they decided to share with travelers. It’s tucked away in Archipolis – which, honestly, most tourists never even hear about because they’re too busy fighting crowds in Rhodes Old Town. But that’s exactly why this spot works so well.
The thing about Casa Arches is that it nails this balance between authentic Greek character and modern comfort that so many places try for but mess up. The arches (obviously) aren’t just decorative – they actually create these lovely cool spaces during the brutal afternoon heat, and I mean brutal if you’re there in July or August. The owner clearly knows the island well because everything feels intentional, from the way rooms are positioned to catch the evening breeze to the local artwork that’s actually from local artists, not mass-produced “Greek-inspired” stuff. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – no upselling, no confusing resort fees, just genuine hospitality from people who seem to actually care whether you have a good stay.
What really sold me on the place was discovering their little terrace area around sunset. Most hotels in this price range either stick you with a view of the parking lot or charge extra for anything decent, but here you’re looking out over olive groves with the Aegean catching the light in the distance. It’s quiet enough that you can actually hear the cicadas, which sounds cheesy but honestly becomes this perfect evening soundtrack. The rooms themselves are thoughtfully designed – good storage space (rare in Greek hotels, trust me), proper blackout curtains for sleeping in, and bathrooms that don’t flood when you shower. Small details, but they matter when you’re staying more than a night or two. Parking is straightforward and free, which saves you the headache of navigating Rhodes Town’s narrow streets every day. I’d definitely go back, and I’m pretty picky about hotels after years of travel writing. Casa Arches gets the fundamentals right while offering something genuinely special – it’s the kind of place that makes you want to extend your stay and actually relax instead of just checking boxes on a sightseeing list.

Nicely decorated and clean. Close to markets, some restaurants and a gas station. A bit far from Rhodes city center but not a problem if you have a car.

Herşey düşünülmüş, çok temiz ve ilgilileri muhteşem. Hatta ev sahibi kendi çiftliğinden doğal ürünler ile dolabı doldurmuştu.
What could be improved: Rodos merkeze uzak, orman yolu olduğu için gece geç dönerken çok dikkatli olmak gerekir.David from Spain – 19 July 2024 (10/10)
