You know what struck me first about Casa Aestas? It’s tucked away in Lachania village where you actually feel like you’ve discovered something special – not just another tourist trap. I mean, most people zip past this southern corner of Rhodes heading to Lindos, but honestly, they’re missing out. The hotel sits right in this traditional village that’s somehow managed to keep its authentic Greek character, complete with narrow stone streets and locals who still gather at the village square in the evenings. When I pulled up (parking’s no problem, by the way – always a relief in Greece), the building itself felt like it belonged there, you know? Not some modern monstrosity dropped into a historic setting.

What really gets me about this place is how they’ve nailed that balance between comfort and character. The rooms have this understated elegance – think traditional Greek architecture but with all the modern touches that actually matter, like proper air conditioning and surprisingly good Wi-Fi. The staff runs the place like they genuinely care about your experience, which sounds cheesy but it’s true. They’ll point you toward the hidden beach paths that locals use (there’s one that leads down to a secluded cove about ten minutes away) and actually remember your name after the first day. I stayed during late September when the summer crowds had thinned out, and honestly, the timing couldn’t have been better – warm enough for swimming but peaceful enough to really appreciate the surroundings.

The location is what really sold me though. You’re close enough to explore the more famous spots – Prasonisi Beach where the two seas meet is maybe twenty minutes away, and the medieval town of Rhodes is an easy drive if you want to do the tourist thing for a day. But here’s the thing: you’ll probably find yourself wanting to stick around Lachania more than you’d expect. There’s this incredible taverna just down the hill (ask them for directions – the locals know it well) where the owner’s family has been cooking the same recipes for generations. The hotel’s terrace catches the most amazing sunsets too, and I found myself just sitting there with a glass of local wine more evenings than I care to admit. With a 9.8 rating, you’d think maybe it’s too good to be true, but after staying there… honestly, I get it. It’s one of those places where everything just works, and you leave feeling like you actually experienced Greece rather than just visited it.

  Very nice patio!!! We didn’t stay inside. But also insight everything is very nice. Good bed!!! Also all the equipment you need is available.
  The owner is very nice, easy to reach through whats app, always answers your questions and give you tips when needed. And very nice he provides already some things for breakfast.

  Nice house in a pitouresque little village! Everything inside (kitchen, AC, TV, fast Internet, etc.) – nice tavernas around – very quiet. very friendly and helpful owner!

  Das Dorf Lachania ist sehr schön und ursprünglich. Die Menschen sind sehr freundlich.
  Im Dorf ist ein kleiner Minimarkt und 3 Restaurants.
  Die Unterkunft ist sehr gut ausgestattet, die Terrasse hat bequeme Möbel.
  Der Vermieter ist sehr gut erreichbar und versorgte uns mit sehr hilfreichen Informationen.

  Casa Aestas – Klare Empfehlung!
  Wir haben eine Woche im April dort verbracht und uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet, die Küche sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig mitten im Dorf. Der eigene Innenhof ist großzügig möbliert. Auch unser Hund war willkommen 🤗
  Der Gastgeber hat sich sehr um uns gekümmert, er war stets ansprechbar. Der Kühlschrank war mit einer Grundausstattung wie Milch, Toast, Käse, Schinken, Wasser, Saft bestückt, dazu gab es Obst und Kaffeekapseln – der erste Tag war gerettet 🙂

  Ein sehr schönes Dorfhaus mitten im Dorf Lachania im Süden von Rhodos. Das Haus ist vollständig und modern ausgestattet und dennoch ein charmantes, traditionelles Dorfhaus. Der Vermieter Stelios ist sehr, sehr bemüht.

  Maison de vacances très agréable dans un village très calme, authentique et à proximité de belles plages. Notre hôte était vraiment serviable et à notre écoute. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette maison que nous recommandons à tous ceux qui cherchent à passer des vacances au calme et loin des foules.

  Чистота, хороший ремонт, вся необходимая мебель и техника. Дом расположен в небольшой деревне вдали от шума и туристов. Хозяин очень дружелюбен и всегда готов помочь.

  Velmi příjejmný pobyt ve všech ohledech. Vedle cestování a pobytu u moře byl i čas strávený na ubytování velmi příjemný a to zejména díky výjimečné péči hostitele. Majitel se o nás od začátku do konce pobytu velmi pečlivě staral, denně s námi komunikoval, aby nám nic nechybělo a abychom měli vše, co potřebujeme. Dostali jsme od něj spoustu tipů na lokality a restaurace. Po příjezdu nás velmi mile překvapilo (a také prakticky pomohlo) jídlo a pití připravené na přivítanou, které jsme po dlouhé cestě rádi uvítali. Pokoje byly příjemné, dobře se v nich spalo. Velkou předností je terasa, kde lze trávit čas přes den i večer… Výjimečná je i samotná malebná tradiční vesnice Lachania, ve které se ubytování nachází. Zejména lidé, kteří hledají klid a nemají rádi přeplněná letoviska, ocení zdejší ticho, ale i 2 skvělé místní restaurace. Děkujeme a vřele doporučujeme všem.

  Cudowne miejsce z dala od tłumu ludzi apartament czyściutki wyposażony dosłownie we wszystko , byłam i jestem pod wielkim wrażeniem gospodarz przygotował pełna lodówkę jedzenia podstawowe rzeczy mleko szynka chleb plus ciasto arbuz i owoce oraz woda bylo to bardzo mile i niespotykane, interesował sie przez caly pobyt czy mamy wszystko. Dostałam obszerna informacje o atrakcjach w pobliżu .
  Pobyt był cudowny jak tylko bede się wybierała na Rodos to jesli bedzie miejsce wróce tutaj na pewno, bardzo polecam.
