Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first pulled up to Blue Vision Luxury House in Pefki – the name sounds a bit grand for what’s essentially a quiet corner of Rhodes that most tourists rush past on their way to Lindos. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are tucked away in these sleepy spots where the locals actually hang out.

The place sits right in the heart of Pefki (which literally means “pines” in Greek, and yeah, there are actually pine trees everywhere), about a 10-minute walk from that gorgeous little beach that doesn’t get absolutely mobbed like the main Lindos strand. What struck me immediately was how the owner – this lovely Greek family who’ve clearly put their heart into the place – managed to create something that feels genuinely luxurious without being stuffy. The rooms are spacious, I mean really spacious, with these beautiful tile floors that stay cool even when it’s blazing outside, and the beds… well, let’s just say I had zero trouble sleeping despite being the kind of person who usually tosses and turns in hotel beds. The balconies overlook either the village (surprisingly charming with its mix of traditional white houses and newer villas) or toward the coastline, and honestly, both views have their charm.

What really sets this place apart though – and this is something you only figure out after you’ve been in the area for a few days – is the location. You’re close enough to walk to Pefki Beach when you want that crystal-clear water and a proper taverna lunch (try Philosophia if you’re there, their grilled octopus is ridiculous), but far enough from the main tourist chaos that you can actually hear the cicadas at night instead of motorbikes racing around. The parking situation is actually decent too, which if you’ve driven around Rhodes in summer, you know that’s not something to take for granted. The family running the place genuinely cares – they’ll tell you which beaches to hit when the meltemi winds are blowing, or how to time your visit to Lindos Acropolis so you’re not melting in a crowd of cruise ship passengers. Check-in was smooth, none of that awkward standing around waiting for someone to find your reservation, and they’ve got this little welcome setup with local honey and some seriously good Greek coffee. Sure, it’s not right on the beach, but honestly? After staying at beachfront places where you pay double and can’t sleep because of the beach bar music until 2 AM, this feels like the better deal. The 9 rating makes complete sense once you’re there – it’s that sweet spot where everything just works without any fuss.

  Apartment really nice, great views, good central location. Owners on hand to help. Swimming pool just down the steps.

  The property was excellent. Clean and spacious. Good location but quiet. Had the pool to ourselves which was a bonus! The property was spotless and had everything you needed. Bath towels, beach towels, shampoo, shower gel, shower caps, toilet roll. Dishwasher, washing machine, teatowel, cleaning products The property was even cleaned and clean bedding and towels 3 days into our weekly stay. Absolutely perfect accommodation and helpful hosts. Will definitely return. Tip for getting taxi to property, it is Marianthi Apartments where the house is, near the Rock Bar.

  Property owners added so many additional touches that we wouldn't normally expect. They went out of their way to make our holiday as good as it possibly could be.

  The property was very clean, it was very spacious and had everything we needed. An abundance of towels, towelling robes, and toiletries. The host was very friendly and welcoming. Little extras in the apartment were lovely: bread, jam, beautiful tray of fruit, bottle of wine, bottled water and Greek sweets. The view is absolutely beautiful.

  The house is located in the nice village of Pefkos(Pefki), equipped with all facilities, clean and comfortable. The hosts Harry & Chrys were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. A covered private parking lot next to the house was very convenient too. Highly recommendable place to stay, we would definitely repeat this choice next time we visit Rhodes in the summer season.

  Super fint hus.
  Aircondition i soveværelset virkede desværre ikke. Der kom en tekniker og kiggede på det, da vi havde påtalt det, men enheden skulle vist skiftes ud, og det nåede man ikke mens vi var der.
  
  What could be improved: Den tilhørende pool bliver desværre ikke efterset ordentligt. Området er dejligt, men der bliver ikke ryddet op, og madrasserne på liggestole er beskidte.
