You know what surprised me most about Bella Vista Stegna? It’s actually got this perfect sweet spot thing going on – close enough to the action but tucked away so you’re not dealing with crowds of tourists stumbling past your balcony at midnight. I mean, Stegna Beach isn’t one of those Rhodes hotspots everyone’s heard of, which honestly works in your favor here.

The hotel sits right where you want it, maybe a two-minute shuffle to the beach in flip-flops. And this isn’t some tiny strip of sand either – Stegna’s got this lovely wide stretch that doesn’t get absolutely packed, even in July. The staff here actually seem to know the area well, not just the rehearsed stuff. They pointed me toward this little taverna about ten minutes up the coast road that I never would’ve found otherwise. The rooms themselves are solid – nothing revolutionary, but the air conditioning works properly (crucial in Greek summers), and there’s decent water pressure, which… well, if you’ve stayed in some Greek island places, you know that’s not always a given. Most rooms have these balconies where you can actually see the water, though the trees block some of the lower floor views.

What really makes this place work is the vibe, honestly. It’s got that relaxed Greek island feel without being sleepy or boring. The pool area gets good sun most of the day, and there’s usually a spot to claim even during busy periods. Parking’s not a nightmare either – there’s space right there, which saves you from hauling luggage up narrow streets like you do in some of these coastal spots. The breakfast spread is better than expected too, with actual local honey and decent coffee, not just the instant stuff. Check-in was smooth when I arrived, though I got there around 3 PM on a Tuesday, so your mileage may vary during peak season chaos. The location in Archangelos puts you close enough to explore the rest of the island without feeling like you’re stuck in the middle of nowhere. You can drive to Lindos in about twenty minutes if you want the Instagram-famous views, but honestly, you might find yourself just staying put more often than you’d expect. That 9.3 rating makes sense once you’re here – it’s one of those places that just gets the basics right and throws in enough pleasant surprises to make you consider coming back.

  as the name suggests, the bella vista has a great view, as does the breakfast (with service), it's about a 10 minute walk to the beach or 2 minutes by car, the street is quite narrow. the staff were very friendly and everything ran smoothly.

  Everything was just amazing. The room was very clean, big enough for our family of 3, they provided us with a crib for the baby, a baby chair at breakfast (no extra charge) and just smiles our whole stay. The breakfast was always fresh in tasteful. Surely a place to recommend to everyone.

  The property was stunning with bougainvillea growing up the blue and white painted exterior. The views from the balcony and from breakfast were breathtaking. The breakfast was delicious and the family were very welcoming and friendly. It was cleaned every day and great to have dressing gowns in the room! Good value and only a short walk to the lovely beach.
  
  What could be improved: The hill back up to the property was so steep. We are a young couple and we really struggled. We didn’t hire a car until the end of the week as we didn’t realise that there’s not much to do in the town and it’s not walking distance to any other towns. We tried to cook in the apartment one night which was quite a challenge as there wasn’t much equipment (only one fork, no chopping board etc).
