You know what struck me first about Bella Terra Villa Filerimos? It’s this perfect sweet spot between being close enough to Rhodes Town that you’re not stranded, but far enough into Ialysos that you actually feel like you’re in Greece, not just another tourist bubble. I mean, you can walk to the Filerimos Monastery if you’re up for it – though honestly, most people just admire it from the terrace while sipping their morning coffee.

The villa itself has that authentic Mediterranean vibe without trying too hard, if that makes sense. The rooms are spacious (actually spacious, not hotel-brochure spacious), and the stonework feels substantial – like it’ll be here long after we’re all gone. What really won me over was how quiet it gets at night. You’re far enough from the main Ialysos strip that you won’t hear the late-night revelry, but close enough that a ten-minute walk gets you to some genuinely good tavernas that locals frequent. The staff seems to know this area inside and out – they pointed me toward this little bakery on Lindou Street that I never would’ve found otherwise, and their dinner recommendations were spot-on.

Here’s the thing about the location that most people don’t realize until they get there: you’re positioned perfectly for day trips. The airport’s maybe fifteen minutes away (super convenient for early flights), but you’re also right on the bus route that connects to Rhodes Old Town. Parking’s actually manageable here too, unlike in the main tourist areas where you’re circling forever. The pool area gets lovely afternoon light, and there’s usually a decent breeze coming off the water – Rhodes can get pretty warm in summer, so that matters more than you’d think. I stayed here in late September and the weather was absolutely perfect, though I imagine July and August get pretty bustling. The 9.3 rating makes total sense when you experience the whole package – it’s not flashy or over-the-top luxurious, but everything just works the way it should, and the genuine warmth of the place comes through in dozens of small details you don’t expect.

  We stayed for a week at bella terra and what can i say. The house, people and all the other things couldn’t have been prepared better for me and my friends. From the moment we arrived to when we left we enjoyed our stay. The house itself was clean when we arrived and had everything we needed for a week stay. The rooms are also clean and the garden with the pool is a perfect place to sit down with everyone and enjoy your time. The owners of the house made sure we felt welcomed and helped us with things like naming places to go, where the nearest market is or where we could hire scooters. The owners are good people, we never had any problems with them. I highly recommend coming to bella terra!

  This charming retreat is a haven from the hustle and bustle of tourist hotspots. Perched on a picturesque hilltop, it offers breathtaking views of the sea and the Turkish mountains. Yet, it's just a 15-minute drive from the main attractions. The owner, who knows everyone on the island, is always happy to help with any needs or requests. He recommended an exceptional fresh fish shop, a reliable car rental company, and even arranged yacht trips to explore the surrounding islands. We had an unforgettable stay and highly recommend this lovely place to anyone seeking a relaxing and unforgettable getaway.

  Het ruime vrijstaande huis met zwembad. Het interieur is heel smaakvol en gezellig met allemaal leuke knusse hoekjes. Wasmachine tot je beschikking incl. Wasmiddel en wasverzachter. Zwembad is lekker koel en heel fijn en grenst aan een vd slaapkamers wat een romantisch effect geeft. De eigenaren zijn heel aardig. Ze hebben een grote imposante hond die af en toe komt buurten. Ze vragen eerst of je daar problemen mee hebt. Wij hebben zelf een hond dus we vonden het leuk en de hond (Avera) was ontzettend vriendelijk en lief.
  
  What could be improved: Geen vaatwasser en 1 pan die steeds aanbrandde. Het huis ligt in de natuur dus logisch dat er muggen, salamanders en kakkerlakken zijn. We hebben van al het bovenstaande geen hinder gehad.
