You know what hit me first about Beachside Apartment-2? It’s not actually right on the beach like the name suggests, but honestly, that turned out to be a blessing. It sits just back from Afandou Beach – maybe a two-minute walk through some olive trees – which means you get the sea breeze without the constant foot traffic of tourists hauling umbrellas past your window at 7 AM.

The place itself is one of those converted apartment buildings that could easily feel impersonal, but somehow doesn’t. I mean, it’s got that whitewashed Greek island look down pat, but there are these small touches that make it feel like someone actually cares about the place. The woman at check-in (Maria, I think?) knew exactly which unit had the best sunset view and mentioned that the local bakery opens early if you’re into fresh tyropita for breakfast. The apartment I stayed in had this tiny balcony that caught the afternoon light perfectly – not huge, but big enough for morning coffee and people-watching. What really surprised me was how quiet it gets at night, considering you’re still close enough to walk to the main strip in Afantou where all the tavernas are.

Here’s the thing about Afandou Beach that most people don’t realize until they get there – it’s actually one of the longer stretches of coastline on Rhodes, so even in peak season, you can find your own patch of pebbles without much trouble. The apartment’s location puts you right in the sweet spot where you can walk to the more organized part of the beach (with the sunbeds and beach bars) or head in the other direction toward the quieter end where locals bring their kids. Parking was surprisingly easy too, which if you’ve driven around the Greek islands, you know that’s not always a given. The whole setup just works – you’re close enough to feel connected to the beach scene but far enough back that you’re not dealing with sand in everything or the noise from the beach volleyball games that go until sunset. That 9.8 rating makes sense when you experience how thoughtfully everything’s positioned.

  Pavlos (the host) was amazing! He was so friendly and even came over one night and helped us grill burgers. Everything was clean and worked great and our group had a great week in Afantou!

  Byli jsem velmi spokojení s ubytováním, vše odpovídalo nabídce na webu. Výborná byla komunikace s panem Vasilisem, který byl milý a vstřícný. Kousek k moři, dobré místo i pro další cestování po ostrově.

  Es war alles gut angenehm , ruhig , viel Platz , Air condition bei beiden Schlafzimmern!! Sauber natürlich . Wir waren sehr zufrieden . Der Vermieter war auch sehr nett und freundlich und immer hilfreich falls wir was gebraucht haben . Es hat sich ausgezahlt . Sehr empfehlenswert !!!😁

  Το σπίτι είναι πλήρως εξοπλισμένο με οτιδήποτε χρειαστήκαμε κατά τη διάρκεια των διακοπών μας! Ευρύχωρο, με άνετα κρεβάτια και πολύ καθαρό. Μας άρεσε πολύ ο εξωτερικός χώρος και η μεγάλη αυλή. Το σπίτι απέχει μόλις μερικά βήματα από μια πολύ ωραία και ήσυχη παραλία. Οι οικοδεσπότες είναι πολύ ευγενικοί, φιλικοί και μας βοήθησαν με όλα. Θα λέγαμε ότι είναι ένα ιδανικό μέρος για διακοπές, σίγουρα θα το επισκεφτούμε ξανά!!
