You know what caught me off guard about this place? The moment you step onto that private terrace, you actually forget you’re in a studio apartment. I mean, the space inside is pretty compact – we’re talking about sleeping two people max, and honestly, that’s pushing it if you’re traveling with someone you don’t know really well. But then you slide open those doors and suddenly you’ve got this incredible ocean view that makes the whole setup feel way more luxurious than the square footage suggests.

The location in Charaki is sort of perfect if you want to experience Rhodes without the cruise ship crowds that swamp Rhodes Town. It’s this quiet fishing village that most tourists just drive through on their way to Lindos, but locals will tell you the beach here is actually better – less crowded, cleaner water, and you can still get a decent gyros at the tavernas without paying tourist prices. The walk down to the water takes maybe three minutes, and there’s this little path that cuts behind the main road so you don’t have to deal with the occasional tour bus. Parking isn’t really an issue here either, which anyone who’s driven around Greek islands will appreciate.

What really sells this place, though, is how they’ve maximized that terrace space. There’s actually room for a proper breakfast setup (the little kitchenette inside is pretty basic, but it’ll handle coffee and simple meals), and honestly, we ended up eating every meal out there because the view is just ridiculous. You’re looking straight out at the sea, and depending on the time of day, you’ll catch fishing boats heading out in the morning or these amazing sunsets that turn the whole coastline golden. The only minor downside – and this is really nitpicking – is that the Wi-Fi can be a bit spotty when you’re out on the terrace, but I mean, you’re in Greece staring at the Mediterranean, so maybe that’s not the worst thing. The 9.2 rating makes total sense once you spend a night here. It’s not fancy in a resort kind of way, but it nails exactly what you want from a Greek island getaway: simple, clean, authentic, and that view that makes you want to extend your stay by another week.

  The location of this property is truly amazing! Best terrace I’ve ever had on holiday, literally right ON the beach. Shops, bars and restaurants all literally on your doorstep. You also get access to your own set of sun loungers on the beach. Host was fab and helps with anything you need.
  
  What could be improved: I was a solo traveller so the size was fine for me, but it’s quite a small apartment. The terrace more than makes up for this IMO but prepare for close quarters if you’re a couple/pals.
