Hotel Description

You know what really struck me about Bay View when I first walked into the lobby? It’s one of those places where the name actually makes sense – and honestly, that’s rarer than you’d think in Faliraki. The hotel sits right on Poseidonas street in the Lito area, which locals will tell you is the sweet spot between being close to everything but not drowning in the main strip chaos. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from the beach, but you can actually sleep at night without hearing every single conversation from the bars below.

The thing about this place is that it gets the details right in ways that surprised me. The rooms – well, they’re what you’d expect from a solid 4-star, but the balconies are where they really shine. Most of them catch these incredible sunset views over the bay, and I found myself just sitting out there with coffee way longer than planned most mornings. The air conditioning actually works (trust me, this matters in July), and they’ve got this smart setup where the Wi-Fi doesn’t mysteriously disappear every time more than three people try to use it. Small thing, but you notice it when you’re trying to video call home or upload photos.

What really sold me on the place though was how the staff operates – they’re locals who genuinely know the area, not just seasonal workers reading from scripts. The guy at reception, Dimitris I think, pointed me toward this little taverna about ten minutes up the hill that I never would’ve found otherwise, and it ended up being one of the best meals of my trip. The hotel’s breakfast is decent (nothing fancy, but fresh bread and local honey), and they’re pretty flexible about timing if you’re planning early morning excursions or sleeping off a late night in Rhodes Town. Parking was surprisingly easy too – there’s a small lot behind the building that most guests don’t seem to know about, so I never had to circle around looking for street spots like at some other places I’ve stayed. The pool area gets busy around midday when people come back from the beach, but early morning and late afternoon it’s perfect for actually swimming laps instead of just posing for photos. Honestly, with a 9.5 rating, I was half-expecting some kind of luxury resort, but Bay View is better than that – it’s just a really well-run hotel that knows its strengths and doesn’t try to be something it’s not.

  Everything was absolutely amazing! We could do early check in. Appreciate that very much. Warm welcome from Eleni and Kostas. Super clean, every second day cleaning services. Apartment has nice atmosphere and location is superb, few steps from the beach. Calm and peaceful surroundings.

  The accommodation was very clean, and the owner was extremely kind and helpful. Every other day, we had fresh bed linen and clean towels. The room was clean, tidy, and well-equipped. Upon arrival, the fridge was stocked with 4 cans of beer, mineral water, and a pack of biscuits, which was a very thoughtful gesture. The balcony offered a view of the sea. There were restaurants nearby, easily reachable on foot. The property also had its own parking space. Upon departure, we were gifted a small jar of local honey. Thank you again, Eleni. I hope we meet again.

  Very good location in Faliraki. Beach is right next to the house and only 10 minute walk to the center. Everything was very clean and our room was cleaned everyday. We were on a holiday to celebrate our engagement, the host put up decorations for us and even brought us cake and sparkling wine. The room had everything you need including full kitchen with spices, coffee and tea, towels, nice bed with extra pillows, smart tv and good air conditioning. We could not have asked more from a stay.
  
  What could be improved: The only thing we didn't like was that there were some mosquitos in the room which stung my husband during the night when we were sleeping. The windows of course had insect covers in them so I don't know how they got there.
