Hotel Description
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Axiotheaton Villas – the name alone had me stumbling over pronunciation – but this place actually surprised me in the best way. It’s tucked away on that winding stretch between Lindos and Lardos, you know the one where you’re driving through all those pine trees and suddenly catch glimpses of the sea through the branches? The location is sort of perfect if you want to feel removed from the Rhodes town chaos but still be close enough to everything that matters.
What struck me first was how quiet it gets here, especially in the evenings. You’re far enough from the main coastal road that you don’t get that constant hum of scooters and tour buses, but close enough to Pefki that you can walk down for dinner without needing to drive. The villas themselves have this understated Greek island vibe – white walls, blue shutters, nothing too fancy but everything feels solid and well-maintained. I mean, it’s a four-star place and it actually feels like one, which isn’t always guaranteed around here. The outdoor spaces are where they really got it right though. Each villa has its own terrace situation, and honestly, I spent more time out there than inside. You can see straight through to the coastline from most of them, and in the morning you get this amazing light filtering through the pine canopy.
The whole setup works really well for families or couples who want their own space – it’s not one of those places where you’re hearing your neighbors through paper-thin walls or fighting for pool chairs at dawn. Speaking of the pool area, it’s actually peaceful, which is saying something for Rhodes in summer. The staff here seem to get that people come here to decompress, so they’re helpful without being hovering-around-your-table helpful, if you know what I mean. Parking is straightforward (thank god, because some places around Lindos are absolute nightmares), and they’ve got this little market setup where you can grab basics without having to drive into town every time you need olive oil or decent coffee. The check-in was smooth too – none of that standing-around-waiting-for-keys drama you sometimes get at villa complexes. What really sells this place for me is the combination of being properly secluded but not isolated. You’re a short drive from Lindos when you want to do the tourist thing, close to some really good tavernas that locals actually go to, and the beaches around Lardos are way less crowded than the main Lindos bay. It’s the kind of place where you can have both the peaceful villa experience and easy access to everything Rhodes has to offer without feeling like you’re constantly in transit.

The stunning views, the almost private beach, the tastefully decorated villa
What could be improved: Could be made more comfortable with some small additions, e.g. comfortable lounging chairs on the balconies, a couple of lounging chairs in the living space, and a dishwasher. The pool area could do with a couple of tables.
