Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Avi Suites on Iras Street – it’s tucked away on this quiet side road that you’d probably miss if you weren’t looking for it. But you know what? That’s actually one of its biggest strengths. While everyone else is dealing with the chaos of the main strip, you’re literally a three-minute walk from all the Faliraki action but sleeping in actual peace.

The suites themselves are surprisingly spacious – I mean, we’re talking proper living areas, not those cramped hotel rooms where you’re tripping over your suitcase every five minutes. The kitchenette situation is legit too, which honestly saved us a fortune because eating out for every meal in Faliraki adds up fast (learned that the hard way on my first trip here). What really got me though was how quiet it stays, even during the peak summer madness. The building’s set back enough that you don’t get the street noise, but close enough that stumbling home after a night at the beach bars isn’t an ordeal. The staff – and I’m usually pretty cynical about this stuff – actually seem to care. Check-in was smooth, they gave us solid recommendations for the less touristy tavernas (there’s this place called Kostas about ten minutes inland that they suggested, absolute gem), and when our air conditioning got weird on day three, someone was up to fix it within an hour.

Here’s the thing about Faliraki that a lot of people don’t realize – it’s got this reputation for being all party-central, which sure, parts of it definitely are. But if you position yourself right, like at Avi Suites, you get the best of both worlds. You can walk to Anthony Quinn Bay in about fifteen minutes when you want that crystal-clear water and dramatic rocks, or hit the main beach when you’re feeling more social. The hotel’s location means you’re close to the good stuff but not drowning in it. Parking’s actually manageable here too – they’ve got their own spots, which anyone who’s tried to park in central Faliraki during July will appreciate. The whole place just feels well-thought-out, you know? Like someone who actually travels designed it instead of some corporate committee. That 9.7 rating isn’t just people being generous – it’s earned through all these little details that make your stay smoother. I’ve done the cramped resort thing, the overpriced beachfront thing, and honestly, this hits the sweet spot of comfort, location, and not feeling like you’re getting ripped off at every turn.

  An amazing brand new modern suites, tastefully decorated, comfortable, very specious, clean and well equipped to particularly high standart. The property is perfectly located – just 2 minuates walking distance to the beach and the center (where all the restaurants, shops, supermarkets, bars etc.). The host and staff are friendly and courteous and willing to help at any time.

  Perfect location. Walking distance to beach, shops and restaurants. A great gelato shop across the road. New modern room with plenty of space and air-conditioning.
