You know what surprised me most about Aurum Villas? It’s tucked away on this quiet residential street in Ialyssos, and honestly, if you didn’t know it was there, you’d probably walk right past it. But that’s actually part of its charm – it feels like you’re staying in someone’s gorgeous private home rather than a typical tourist hotel.

The whole place has this understated elegance that I wasn’t expecting from the photos online. I mean, the 9.8 rating should’ve been a clue, but still. The villas themselves are these beautiful white-washed buildings with traditional Greek architectural touches, but everything feels refreshingly modern inside. What really got me was the attention to detail – like, the bathroom fixtures are actually good quality (you know how hotel showers can be), and the beds are properly comfortable, not just hotel-firm. The air conditioning works without sounding like a jet engine, which is clutch during those sticky August nights. And the kitchenettes are actually functional if you want to grab some of that amazing local produce from the market and make breakfast – there’s a decent-sized fridge and real cooking equipment, not just a sad little hot plate.

The location is pretty genius, actually. You’re about a 10-minute walk from Ialyssos Beach, which tends to be less crowded than some of the more famous spots along the coast. The staff will point you toward this little taverna called Symposium (I think that’s how you spell it) – it’s maybe five minutes away and locals actually eat there, which tells you everything. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. Rhodes can be pretty party-heavy in certain areas, but this neighborhood settles down after dinner time. The only sounds you’ll hear are maybe some distant music from the beach bars and the occasional scooter puttering by. Oh, and parking – if you’re renting a car, there’s actually space, which is not something you can take for granted in Greece. The whole check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too; none of that awkward waiting around while they figure out your reservation. They had everything ready, gave us a proper rundown of the area with actual recommendations (not just tourist trap stuff), and didn’t hover afterward. Sometimes the best service is just being competent and then leaving you alone to enjoy the place, you know?

  Avery warm welcome by the professional Management team with useful information and an ease of communication should we experience any issues. Well stocked kitchen and utility room with quality equipment. Excellent large screen tv’s and good Wi Fi connections. Very comfortable beds and sofas and plenty of seating and outside sun beds, parasols etc. The villa was perfect.

  Superb villa, would highly recommend. Nikos is a great host and helped us out with transfers and taxi's for a visit to the waterpark etc. He even gave us lifts to the supermarket on arrival! A brilliant family holiday, we will definitely be returning.

  Villa (Nr.4) where everything is thought out to the smallest detail and made for a comfortable and private holiday for guests. It was nice when we were greeted with a compliment in the form of a huge basket of fruit and a bottle of wine. After checking in, we received very valuable recommendations about the best places on the island – from restaurants to the most beautiful beaches. Thank you very much, Nikos!
  Each room of the villa has its own separate air conditioner – you can set a comfortable temperature just for you. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need – a huge amount of dishes, a dishwasher, kettles, a toaster, a coffee machine and even a refrigerator that produces ice. For the convenience of guests, the kitchen already has olive oil, coffee, salt, sugar, tea, jams and spices.  Each window, even the smallest one, is equipped with a mosquito net and automatically closing blinds. The beds, linen and towels are new and of excellent quality. The mattresses are very comfortable.
  A clean swimming pool with a very comfortable water temperature, sun loungers, umbrellas and a well-kept garden, which is very beautifully illuminated at night. There is a large gas grill in the garden.
  If you love high-quality, private and comfortable holidays, this place is ideal! Highly recommend!

  Our stay in Aurum Villa was absolutely incredible.
  
  The Villa was brand new, modern and stylish.
  It was light, sparkling clean, with thoughtful details and very well equipped, the fridge with the ice maker was just one of the nice touches.
  The pool is a good size, the kids didn't want to get out of the pool day and night.
  The Villa has a very spacious yard where we enjoyed the pool, sat on the terrace, had BBQ in the evenings.
  Villa looks absolutely stunning with its beautiful illumination at night.
  
  It is also very conveniently located near a shopping centre, there were plenty of other options for dining out or heading to the beach, also very close to the airport.
  
  The host Nikos was very friendly and helpful.

  We had an absolutely incredible stay at this property, it is brand new and so beautiful. Everything was flawless and Nikos was so helpful with any questions we had. The pool is absolutely the highlight and we didn't want to leave!
  
  What could be improved: As it's a new property there were just a couple of issues, the plugs didn't work in one room but I believe the owners are fixing this. Also the fence around the property wasn't totally finished but again I believe this is complete now.
