Hotel Description

Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of fancy resorts, but the Atrium Prestige in Lachania actually lives up to its name – and honestly, that 9.4 rating isn’t inflated marketing nonsense. When you pull up to this place on Main Street (which, despite the generic name, winds through some gorgeous traditional stone architecture), you immediately get why people fly halfway around the world to Rhodes for this kind of experience.

The thalasso spa thing isn’t just a buzzword here – I mean, you can literally smell the sea minerals in the air when you’re getting treatments, and the pools use actual seawater that somehow doesn’t leave you feeling like a dried-out pretzel afterward. The villas are spread out enough that you’re not hearing your neighbors’ conversations through paper-thin walls, which is refreshing after staying at some of those cramped “luxury” places where luxury apparently means charging more for the same tiny rooms. What really got me was how the staff seemed to know the perfect balance between being helpful and not hovering – they’d appear with fresh towels right when you needed them, then vanish so you could actually relax.

Lachania itself is one of those villages that tourism hasn’t completely steamrolled yet. You can walk to the main square in about ten minutes, grab coffee at the little kafeneio where the locals still play backgammon (and will absolutely school you if you’re brave enough to join), then wander back through narrow streets that smell like jasmine and whatever amazing thing someone’s grandmother is cooking. The resort’s position means you get sunset views that’ll make you understand why ancient Greeks thought the gods lived in beautiful places, but you’re also close enough to the more happening parts of Rhodes when you want actual nightlife. Parking’s never an issue, which sounds boring but trust me, after circling Mediterranean resort towns for an hour looking for a spot, you’ll appreciate having a guaranteed place for your rental car. The only minor thing – and I’m really reaching here – is that the main restaurant can get pretty busy during peak dinner hours in summer, so either book early or embrace the Greek tradition of eating fashionably late. But when the food’s this good and the setting’s this spectacular, waiting an extra twenty minutes isn’t exactly a hardship.

  I had an exceptional stay at the Atrium Prestige Thalasso Spa Resort & Villas. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the entire staff. A special thanks to Kostas, who has an incredible gift for enhancing every place he works. This is the second time I have had the chance to experience his hospitality in a different hotel, and the experience is just as wonderful. At the Thalassa and Asian restaurant, I was also greeted with great kindness by Kostas, and his recommendations on dishes to try were invaluable.   – distance from the airport is 1h15 by car, but a free transfer by the hotel can be organized
  – if you don't want to move from the resort, you will have to stick with the variety of restaurants and shops available within
  – no daily refill of complimentary water and coffee, but it's done at no extra cost if requested at the reception

  This is a real paradise. The added value are the people who work there; they really care about you, try to anticipate your potential requests, give their 100% to make this hotel a wonderful place.
  Structure is fantastic and so is the food.
  Pools are awesome, and the beach and sea are great as well. Every night there is a different entertainment at the main bar, to have the guest spend their best time.
  Last but not least, the room with private pool is absolutely gorgeous.
