Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to the Atrium Platinum on Iraklidon Avenue – I mean, Ixia gets overshadowed by Rhodes Town and Lindos, so a lot of people just zoom past this stretch. But walking into that lobby, with its soaring glass ceiling and that subtle scent of jasmine they somehow manage to keep consistent throughout the property… well, it immediately felt different from your typical Greek island resort.

What really gets me about this place is how they’ve nailed the balance between luxury and actually feeling Greek. You know what I mean? So many five-star places here feel like they could be anywhere – Miami, Dubai, whatever. But the Atrium Platinum has these gorgeous stone accents that remind you you’re on an island that’s been hosting travelers for literally thousands of years, while still giving you those crisp white linens and marble bathrooms that make you feel properly pampered. The spa is legitimately world-class (I’m usually skeptical about hotel spas, but their thalassotherapy treatments using actual Aegean seawater? Yeah, I was converted). And here’s something most people don’t realize – Ixia’s position on the island means you get these incredible sunset views over the water, but you’re also just a quick ten-minute drive from the medieval city when you want to explore the cobblestone streets and castle walls.

The staff genuinely seems to enjoy working there, which – if you’ve traveled enough – you know is rarer than it should be. They remember your name, your coffee order, whether you prefer the pool or the private beach area. Speaking of which, that little stretch of beach is pretty much perfect for couples or anyone who wants to avoid the chaos of the main tourist beaches. Sure, it gets busy during peak season (July and August can be intense), but even then, there’s something about the way they’ve designed the layout that keeps it from feeling crowded. The rooms are spacious enough that you’re not climbing over each other, and most have these deep balconies where you can actually sit and have your morning Greek coffee while watching the ferries head out toward Symi and Chalki. I’d definitely book a sea view if you can swing it – the garden views are nice, but honestly, you’re in Rhodes, so why not wake up to that brilliant blue every morning?

  The staff was kind and provided a baby bath and baby cot. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
  
  What could be improved: The weather was very windy and cold when we visited and we only found out upon arrival that the indoor pool is adults only which was very disappointing. However the whole time we were there during our stay the indoor pool was empty. A major point of our trip was to utilize the pool with our baby which we were unable to do. It should have been advertised that the indoor pool is for adults only.

  Everything about this hotel was immaculate, and beautiful. It was pristine clean, the staff were out of world and the rooms / view were breathtaking. The food was 11/10 and felt like absolute luxury.
  The spa was amazing too we had the best indian head massage ever had with lovely maria!
  The waiters and waitresses were so tentative and kind- A special shout out to Armando, Ami, and Liza. The food was some of the best food we have ever tasted and we will 100% be coming back! It was spotless and like a brand new hotel! also a lovely walk along the beach from old town, the sunset views from this hotel were another level. Thank you for the most wonderful stay.

  The stay at the hotel was more than excellent. The room was very clean, spacious and well equipped with a wonderful private pool. The hotel facilities are excellent. Lots of treats.

  The choice of food at the buffet or a la carte and in different style restaurants was excellent – the quality and the variety.

  I chose the All-Inclusive option, and it was the best decision I made. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring that every detail was perfect. The food was exceptional in every restaurant, regardless of which one you chose—everything was delicious and made with high-quality ingredients. The facilities were well-maintained, and there was always something fun to do, whether it was relaxing by the pool or enjoying the see or something else. My room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable.

  The room was very spacious and convenient. The pool was big and clean. The breakfast was great with a large variety and the staff was super nice the entire time of our stay.
  
  What could be improved: The cleaning service didn't clean our room one day. Also most of the floors in the hotel (indoor and outdoor) were wet or moist for most of the time, making it very dangerous to slip and fall.

  Staff were very friendly and polite. They were helpful in everything. The pillows were very comfortable. We liked the coffee in the room. Indoor garage is also a great facility.
  
  What could be improved: The weather on west coast is windy and sea is wavy. You have to travel by car to other beaches on the island. Also old town is far and you have to drive or take a taxi from the hotel.

  The main highlight for the resort is their facilities. The rooms are comfy with amazing views. The pools were wonderful. The main restaurant food is better than other all-inclusive restaurants we have been. The resort was quiet and tranquille most of the time. Overall very good experience.
  
  What could be improved: Some of the theme nights are the restaurant were underwhelming – not authentic.
