You know what struck me first about Atlantica Imperial? It’s actually tucked away in Kolimbia in this perfect spot where you’re not dealing with the chaos of Rhodes town, but you’re not stranded in the middle of nowhere either. I mean, Kolimbia itself is pretty low-key – mostly locals and people who’ve figured out this is where you come when you want that authentic Greek vibe without the cruise ship crowds.

The adults-only thing here isn’t just a marketing gimmick, they really commit to it. The pool area has this genuinely relaxed atmosphere where you can actually hear yourself think, and honestly, after staying at a few family resorts in the area, the difference is night and day. The staff – and I’m talking about everyone from housekeeping to the bartenders – they get that people are here to unwind, not to be constantly entertained or sold something. There’s this one guy at the beach bar, Dimitris I think, who makes these incredible Greek coffee variations that aren’t on any menu. He just sort of knows what you need based on the time of day and how you look (trust me on this one). The rooms are what you’d expect from a proper 5-star place, but it’s the little touches that got me – like how they’ve positioned most of the balconies to catch the morning light without the afternoon heat, and the way the bathroom ventilation actually works properly, which sounds boring but you’ll appreciate it in the Greek humidity.

What really sets this place apart though is how they’ve managed to feel connected to the area instead of just plopped down on it. You can walk to Kolimbia’s little harbor in about ten minutes – there’s a family taverna there called Symposium that locals actually eat at, not just tourists. The beach access is direct, no shuttles or long walks, and honestly the stretch of coastline here is some of the cleaner water you’ll find on this part of Rhodes. Early mornings, before 8 AM, you’ll have it mostly to yourself except for the occasional jogger or someone walking their dog. The hotel runs this informal thing where they’ll arrange a car to take you into Rhodes town (about 25 minutes) if you want to see the old city, but the driver – at least when I went – was this local guy who knew all the back streets and could drop you right where you needed to be instead of at some tourist parking lot. I ended up having some of my best meals at places he recommended. Look, the 9.2 rating isn’t an accident – this is one of those places that gets the balance right between being polished enough to justify the price but relaxed enough that you’re not constantly aware you’re at a resort.

  The place is amazing. The rooms are big, beautiful and comfortable. The food is very good too.
  
  What could be improved: It would be nice if there were a space for people to sit an play. This place should hold different table games like cards, chess and books. These activities are spread around the great hall and not allwyas available to sit and play

  I read a review of someone saying they had just left and had already booked another stay here. Honestly, if I could, I would, too. It's that good. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at and definitely the best all-inclusive. I will stay here again for sure and can't wait until I do. The food is as incredibly nice as everyone says. If you read any bad reviews about the food, do not believe them. The food is so so so good every time I have to decide what to cook for dinner, I wonder what they're surprising people with at the hotel. I'm so spoiled. I was here for a week and every single day the food was different or they'd created something new with the leftovers from lunch (for example stewed meat for lunch, stuffed peppers with minced meat for dinner). Plus 100 different dishes to choose from. And my favourite was the food station serving the special dish for that specific mealtime which would be prepared as and when people wanted to have it (for example wok, risotto). And every little dish was delicious. It was so difficult not to put on weight. But no problem, the aqua classes by Cecilie were so good and the sea is so beautiful you end up doing a lot of exercise anyway (if you want to, of course, you can just stuff your face if you want to). Also the drinks are super delicious as well. Special kudos for the staff who are like freaking machines and so well organised and kind while at it. I love this hotel so much, honestly. Thank you so much for upgrading me to a room by the beach with a pool. I could not believe it. You really made my birthday special and my week one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of living through. Farso, Pamela from the restaurant, the lady who always greets people at breakfast, Cecilie (yoga) and the male receptionist whose name starts with a P (sorry!) were all amazing.
  I will be back as soon as I can. Someone please pet the black cat with a white tip on its tail for me in the meantime.

  The building itself is stunning, they have down so well with the design. It is luxurious from the moment you see it and all the way through.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing except the hot tub was very small and yes intimate and that wasn’t the main problem it was just cold.

  Beautiful hotel right on the beach. Loved the buffet – great selection and great quality. Excellent gym: spacious with well maintained, modern equipment. The pools were beautiful (if a bit cold!)
  
  What could be improved: The spa was very expensive, and the person who massaged me did not seem to have any training in massage, and did not give the massage I had booked (ie. it was meant to include 4 techniques, such as stretching, but it was simply rubbing olive oil in)

  Excellent value for money! We booked the half board and had dinner at the hotel – great choice! For a 2 night holiday the hotel provided all and more what we expected. Upon arrival we got a room upgrade to a suite with a straight access to a semiprivate swimming pool – super! In the room we had a bottle of sparkling wine waiting us in ice bucket, minibar free of charge and a plate with fresh fruit! Room was big and comfortable, amenities high quality, all excellent! What we liked the most was the private beach with chairs, clean water and beautiful scenery. Dinner was like in a high quality cruise ship, plenty of choices and excellent service. We really enjoyed our time here and will return if we are back in Rhodes one day. Thank you for the hospitality!

  This hotel is fabulous- the best I have stayed in! On my 1st night I was so eager to come back to greece , I forgot to change my hotel booking to match my flight so arrived early !! Lorna and Frosa managed the situation very efficiently and promptly- Room sorted that matched what I booked !! 😊As season just starting Limited things to do in Kolymbia at this time of year and the weather was hit and miss – but I didn't care , I was back in my παράδεισος μου. The 5* buffet was amazing so much choice and the staff – what can I say – they make this place fabulous , always smiling helpful and greeting in greek which I love ❤️ I have already booked to come back to this hotel amongst my 4 trips planned to greece this year – Ευχαριστώ, τα λέμε του χρόνου❤️🇬🇷
