You know what struck me first about Athoros Luxury Villas? It’s tucked away in Afandou where you actually feel like you’ve escaped the tourist madness, but you’re still close enough to everything that matters. I mean, most people rush straight to Rhodes Town or Lindos and completely miss this stretch of coast – honestly, their loss.

The villas themselves are something else entirely. Each one feels like someone’s actual luxury home rather than a cookie-cutter hotel room, which makes sense because that’s basically what they are. The attention to detail is pretty remarkable – we’re talking marble bathrooms that feel like personal spas, kitchens stocked with everything you’d actually need (not just a sad mini-fridge), and these incredible terraces where you can have your morning coffee while looking out at the Aegean. The pool area is where you’ll probably spend most of your time though. It’s designed with these different levels and infinity edges that make it feel way more private than your typical resort setup. Actually, the whole place only has a handful of villas, so you’re never fighting for space or dealing with crowds of people.

What really sold me on this place is how the staff treats you – they remember your name, they know how you like your coffee, that sort of thing. The location is pretty brilliant too, honestly. You’re about a ten-minute drive from Afandou Beach, which is this long stretch of pebbles and crystal-clear water that stays relatively uncrowded even in summer. If you want to explore, the traditional village of Archipoli is just up the hill – there’s this little taverna there called Michalis (ask the villa staff, they’ll point you in the right direction) where locals actually eat, not just tourists. Rhodes Town is maybe twenty minutes by car, so you can do the whole medieval city thing during the day and come back to complete tranquility. Parking’s never an issue, which sounds boring but trust me, you’ll appreciate it after trying to navigate the narrow streets in town. The one thing I’d mention is that you’ll definitely want a rental car – it’s not the kind of place where you can just walk to restaurants and shops, but that isolation is exactly what makes it special. Check-in was smooth, no waiting around in lobbies, and they actually gave us a proper tour of everything instead of just handing over keys. The whole experience feels more like staying at a friend’s incredibly nice house than a hotel, which I guess is exactly what they’re going for.

  Wir hatten eine sehr entspannte Woche in dieser neuen, modernen, geschmackvollen und großzügigen Villa. Man hat von der am Hügel liegenden Unterkunft einen hervorragenden Blick auf Ort und Meer. Bei dem Komfort und der Ruhe ohne direkte Nachbarn kann man perfekt relaxen. Antonio ist ein sehr angenehmer und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber.

  Wir waren die ersten Urlauber in der Villa Dawn. Es ist eine traumhafte Unterkunft, sie hat all unsere Erwartungen erfüllt – stilvoll eingerichtet, sauber und mit viel Liebe zum Detail.
  Der Pool war ein absolute Highlight, perfekt zum Entspannen. Die Lage war ruhig und idyllisch. Zum Strand ist man 3-4 Minuten mit dem Auto gefahren, nach Faliraki ca. 10 Minuten, nach Rhodos und Lindos ca. 25-30 Minuten.
  
  Unser Gastgeber Antonis war sehr herzlich, freundlich und unkompliziert. Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an willkommen gefühlt und kommen garantiert wieder. Die Häuser sind eine absolute Empfehlung unserer Seits.
