You know what struck me first about Arte Suites Pefki? It’s actually tucked away from the main Pefki strip in this quiet spot that feels almost residential – but you’re literally a two-minute walk to Kavos Beach. I mean, most people think of Pefki as just another Rhodes beach town, but this little pocket near the beach has this surprisingly calm vibe, especially in the evenings when the day-trippers head back to their resorts. The suites themselves are honestly better than I expected from the photos – they’ve got this modern Greek aesthetic going on without being too sterile, and the kitchenettes are actually functional (I made coffee every morning, which probably saved me twenty euros). The air conditioning works properly too, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places in Rhodes skimp on that during August.

What really sells this place though is the staff – they’re not just polite, they actually know the area. The woman at reception told me about this little taverna called Klimataria that’s tucked behind the main road, and honestly it became my go-to dinner spot because the locals eat there and it’s half the price of the beachfront places. Plus, she arranged a car rental pickup right at the hotel, which saved me the hassle of walking to town. The pool area gets busy around mid-afternoon when families come back from the beach, but mornings are perfect if you want to actually swim laps or just float around with your coffee. There’s this nice breeze that comes through in the early evening too – something about how the building sits in relation to the hills behind Pefki. I ended up spending way more time on my balcony than I planned because of it.

Look, it’s not the fanciest place on Rhodes – the bathroom could use a refresh and sometimes you can hear kids playing in the pool if you’re trying to nap – but there’s something authentic about staying here that you don’t get at those massive all-inclusive places down the coast. Pefki itself is still pretty low-key compared to Lindos or Rhodes Town, so you get actual Greek island life mixed with decent beaches and restaurants. If you rent a car (which I’d recommend), you’re maybe fifteen minutes from some of the best beaches on the eastern side of the island, and the drive through the pine forests is gorgeous. The Arte Suites just feels like a solid base for exploring without breaking the bank or dealing with resort crowds. Plus, that 8.8 rating isn’t inflated – I’ve stayed at places with similar ratings that were disappointing, but this one actually delivers on being a comfortable, well-run spot where you can relax and explore Rhodes properly.

  Being right on the beach was the very best! And your own private entrance! Amazing views of the sea & Pefki all day & sunsets at night. Great for AM beach swims before breakfast & no stress getting sunbeds. €19 in June a set.
  
  Great aircon in all rooms; a safe; comfortable beds; good shower; plenty of space in Suite 1.
  A Washing machine to wash beach/ room towels daily, that dry overnight.
  Amfialos restaurant right next door provides lovely lunch/dinner (all local food).
  It’s a slow 20 mins stroll to Pefki. Not an unpleasant walk at all.
  Nikolas restaurant up the road does good food. As does Enigma in town.
  ABC supermarket in Pefki will deliver to you.
  10 mins in a taxi to Lindos.
  Overall very happy with our week in Pefki.
  
  What could be improved: The sunbeds need replacing. They are all old & torn & marked. & there are zero sunshades around the pool.
  
  The infinity glass by the pool needs cleaning; no point having it when it’s all water marked & misty in places.
  
  The bed linen needs updating (new sheets needed).
  
  The cabana bed shade has been torn in the wind & needs replacing.
  
  Light fittings coming away from ceilings.
  
  Large building work ongoing next door (a massive Tui hotel- Amoh Pefki). Due to open in July 2025 but highly unlikely! You hear the sound of vehicles reversing & digging. It’s not awful, but we didn’t stay at the back of the property. The owner said “beyond their control”. The beach has been shortened by the building work on going.
  
  Lastly the beach could do with a clean if it wants to retain its Blue Flag status. It’s not awful at all but something that could be cleaned in an hour if anyway was dedicated enough!
  
  That said! I would go back for the location and views and space!

  The location was out of this world, 1 minute walk through private gate to the beach . The suite was very spacious that everything we needed . The infinity pool was lush and the outside area was great for eating out . Special note ….the manager Ramos was brilliant, made me laugh every day and always asked how we were . Thanks Ramos

  A little piece of heaven… didn’t want to leave! Pool and view was amazing.. the apartment had everything anyone would need and very stylish.. there was even a few food items in the fridge which was very welcome at 0130hrs… Ramos was very helpful throughout our stay. Beach is a very short walk…

  The location is fantastic! Private path to a small cove with crystal clear waters! Sea view from all ceiling to floor glass windows. Beautifully kept pool with jacuzzi function and many sun loungers. Very comfy extra large double bed. Andreas, who was there to meet us on our arrival, was really friendly and took his time to explain everything about the apartment to us. Close to the small town with a hugh choice of restaurants and bars; a 5 minute walk up a slight hill.
