Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels in Rhodes, but this place actually surprised me – and honestly, that doesn’t happen often anymore. The Aquagrand sits right above Lindos Bay, and I mean right above it. You’re literally looking down at those iconic white houses cascading toward the water, with the ancient Acropolis perched up there like it’s been photobombing selfies for 2,000 years. The location is sort of perfect if you want to be close to Lindos village but not stuck in the middle of all those tour groups shuffling through the narrow streets at 2 PM when it’s blazing hot.

What really got me was how they’ve managed to make a 5-star resort feel… well, not stuffy. The infinity pool area – yeah, I know, every hotel claims to have one now – but this one actually delivers. You’re floating there with nothing between you and the Aegean except air, and the way the light hits the water around sunset is honestly ridiculous. The staff seems to know exactly when to refill your drink without hovering, which is harder to pull off than you’d think. I spent most afternoons there with a book, and you know what? The poolside service actually remembered my usual order by day three. Small thing, but it matters when you’re trying to properly unwind.

The rooms are spacious – I had one of the suites with the private terrace, and the bathroom alone was bigger than some hotel rooms I’ve endured. Everything’s done in those clean whites and blues that could feel generic, but somehow doesn’t. Maybe it’s because you can hear the waves from bed, or because the morning light coming through those floor-to-ceiling windows makes everything look like a magazine shoot. The adults-only thing really works here too – no kids cannonballing into the pool at 7 AM, no screaming matches over breakfast. Just that peaceful, sophisticated vibe that makes you want to order another glass of wine and watch the fishing boats head out from Lindos harbor below.

Getting down to the village takes about ten minutes on foot, though it’s a bit of a climb back up (especially after sampling the local wine scene). The hotel runs a shuttle if you’re not feeling the hike, but honestly, the walk through those pine-covered hills is part of the charm. You’ll work up just enough of an appetite for dinner at Mavrikos – do yourself a favor and book a table there while you’re in town. The hotel’s restaurant is excellent too, don’t get me wrong, but when you’re this close to one of Greece’s best tavernas, you’d be crazy not to go.

Is it expensive? Yeah, it’s not cheap. But that 9.3 rating isn’t just hype – this is what a luxury Greek island experience should feel like when it’s done right. You’re paying for that view, that service, and honestly, for the peace of mind that everything will just work the way it’s supposed to.

  Beautiful clean ocean water, fantastic staff, adults only (no screaming kids), quiet, secluded and away from the party goers.

  Everything from the time we arrived was excellent. The whole establishment is spotless clean. Staff extremely friendly and efficient especially Kristen and Eva in the restaurant. Location to the Lindos village is perfect.
  
  What could be improved: Hard to find something but you needed to be a bit careful when swimming, it’s quite rocky.

  Members from management , to cleaning ,spa , waiting
  staff to porters were so professional, very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us during our stay. The selection of food was exceptional good and service a 100% always. We would have no hesitation to recommend and revisit this beautiful resort.
