You know what really surprised me about this place on Athinas Erganis? It’s actually tucked away on the ground floor of what looks like just another Rhodes Town building, but honestly – sometimes the best finds are the ones hiding in plain sight. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from the medieval walls, but far enough from the main tourist drag that you’re not dealing with crowds stumbling back from tavernas at 2 AM.

The apartment itself has that lived-in feel that beats hotel sterility every time. The owner clearly knows what travelers actually need – proper blackout curtains (trust me, those Rhodes summer mornings come early), a kitchen that’s not just for show, and Wi-Fi that doesn’t cut out every ten minutes. I loved that the entrance is separate too, so you’re not awkwardly sharing hallways with other guests or feeling like you’re imposing on someone’s family space. The whole setup feels more like borrowing a local friend’s place than staying in typical tourist accommodation. And can we talk about that 9.5 rating for a second? That doesn’t happen by accident – it’s because details matter here, from decent water pressure to having actual hangers in the closet instead of those weird hotel ones you can’t remove.

What really sold me on the location though was discovering that little bakery around the corner on Diagoridon Street (the locals line up there around 8 AM, which tells you everything), and honestly, being able to walk to both the old town and the newer restaurant scene without needing a taxi or rental car. You’re close enough to hear the evening buzz from Socratous Street, but the apartment itself stays surprisingly quiet – something about how these old buildings are positioned, I think. The whole area has this authentic residential vibe during the day, then transforms when the sun sets and people start their evening wandering. I actually ended up extending my stay because – well, when you find a spot that feels this right, why mess with it?

  Asunto oli siisti kahdella parvekkeella ja oleskelutilat olivat viihtyisät, myös keittiö oli toimiva ja siisti. Rodoksen keskustaan joutui vähän kävelemään, mutta itse asuinalue oli rauhallista.
