Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places around Rhodes, but Antigone Traditional House in Koskinou really caught me off guard – and I mean that in the best way possible. You know how sometimes you book a place based on photos and cross your fingers? Well, this actually exceeded expectations, which honestly doesn’t happen often with a 9.8 rating (I’m always skeptical of anything that high).

The thing about Koskinou is that it’s this perfect middle ground between being authentically Greek and still accessible to travelers. Antigone sits right on Karaiskaki Street, which sounds fancy but it’s actually this quiet residential road where you’ll hear roosters in the morning and old Greek men playing backgammon in the evenings. The house itself – I mean, calling it a “hotel” feels weird because it’s more like staying in someone’s beautifully restored family home. The stone walls are thick enough that you don’t hear a peep from outside, and there’s this incredible attention to detail that you only get when someone actually cares about the place. Like, the wooden shutters aren’t just for show – they actually keep the rooms cool during those brutal July afternoons when the sun is relentless.

What really sold me was how the owner (I think his name was Nikos, but don’t quote me on that) knew exactly which taverna to send us to for dinner – not the touristy one everyone mentions online, but this tiny place about a ten-minute walk away where the moussaka is ridiculous and they don’t even have an English menu. That’s the kind of local knowledge you get here. The rooms themselves blend traditional Greek architecture with modern comfort in a way that doesn’t feel forced or theme-park-ish. You’ve got these gorgeous tile floors that stay cool underfoot, thick stone walls, and – this might sound silly but it mattered to me – really good water pressure in the shower. Plus, parking isn’t a nightmare like it is closer to Rhodes Town; there’s actually space on the street, though you might want to ask about it when you book during peak season. The location gives you easy access to both the beaches (Kallithea Springs is maybe fifteen minutes away) and the old town, but you’re tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with cruise ship crowds stumbling past your window at midnight. Honestly, after three nights here, I was already planning my next trip back.

  Ioannis is absolutely the best host we have ever had. He will do everything to make your holiday as beautiful and good as possible. He gives tips, gifts and makes sure you feel completely at home in the house. Everything has been thought of. In short, if you want to enjoy Rhodes in a super nice village in a fantastic house, I would definitely go for this beautiful house. The hot tub is also wonderful!

  The house and hospitality from our hosts were both amazing. The house has been done to a very high standard but still has lots of old traditional features…and the courtyard and hot tub are great to have. Our host Iaoannis and Mary left an amazing selection of home made food and other items in a welcome basket and gave us lots of recommendations of places to go and restaurants in the village and nearby towns and were on hand whenever we needed. Koskinou is a lovely village but only a few minutes from the beach and Rhodes. I would recommend the house to anyone

  Ioannis has been the perfect host before, during and after our stay; from answering questions prior to booking to a smooth check in process that comes with a welcome basket that would put to shame all welcome baskets, from sharing knowledgeable tips and even arranging scooter and boat rentals to a seamless check out with a another sweet surprise for the whole group! The house was just as pictured and even better. It is filled with all the amenities you'd need for your stay and has enough room for everyone. It's located in the traditional village of Koskinou, which is a great base for exploring the key spots in the island, Kalithea Springs being the nearest one.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Antigone Traditional House in Koskinou. The house is beautifully decorated and fully equipped.
  
  The hosts are very kind and attentive and they will help you with anything you need. There are a few tavernas in the village and some nearby cafes/restaurants also deliver food to the house.
  
  The house is located in a very quiet neighbourhood, 10’ from Rhodes and close to Faliraki beach too.
  
  Highly recommended and many thanks again to the wonderful hosts for taking care of us!

  Lokalizacja w urokliwym miasteczku, w cichej uliczce. Gospodarz przygotował dla nas na przyjazd różne przekąski oraz napoje. Obiekt w pełni wyposażony, zgodnie z opisem, a nawet więcej! Na pożegnanie dostaliśmy drobne upominki, co było miłym zakończeniem naszego pobytu w tym miejscu.
  
  What could be improved: Jacuzzi było super udogodnieniem, ale niestety żeby z niego korzystać w pełni należałoby cały dzień siedzieć w obiekcie. Wodę można podgrzewać jedynie przebywając w apartamencie, a temperatura podnosi się bardzo wolno.

  Unser Aufenthalt im Antigone Traditional House auf Rhodos war nichts weniger als ein absoluter Traum, der all unsere Erwartungen übertroffen hat. Bereits vor unserer Anreise begann unser Urlaub, denn die Betreuung durch Ioannis, den besten Gastgeber, den wir je auf unseren Reisen kennenlernen durften, war von Anfang an herausragend. Die Kontaktaufnahme war mühelos, und Ioannis sorgte dafür, dass wir uns schon vor unserer Ankunft bestens informiert und willkommen fühlten.
  
  Die Unterkunft selbst war wie eine Reise in die Vergangenheit, gepaart mit dem Komfort und Luxus der modernen Zeit. Schon beim Betreten des Antigone Traditional House fühlten wir uns in eine andere Ära zurückversetzt, umgeben von liebevoll ausgewählten Antiquitäten und traditionellen Elementen, die den Charme des Hauses ausmachten. Doch trotz dieses historischen Ambientes mangelte es keineswegs an modernen Annehmlichkeiten. Der Jacuzzi, der uns jeden Abend nach einem langen Tag auf der Insel zum Entspannen einlud, war das i-Tüpfelchen, das unseren Aufenthalt perfekt machte. Hier konnten wir in aller Ruhe den Tag ausklingen lassen und die Sterne über Rhodos genießen – ein unvergessliches Erlebnis.
  
  Die Ausstattung des Hauses ließ wirklich keine Wünsche offen. Es war alles vorhanden, was wir für einen komfortablen und erholsamen Urlaub brauchten, und die Liebe zum Detail war in jedem Raum spürbar. Von der voll ausgestatteten Küche, die uns die Möglichkeit gab, selbst zu kochen, bis hin zu den gemütlichen Schlafplätzen und den geschmackvoll eingerichteten Aufenthaltsbereichen – alles war darauf ausgelegt, den Gästen einen perfekten Aufenthalt zu ermöglichen.
  
  Besonders hervorheben möchten wir jedoch Ioannis' Gastfreundschaft und seinen unermüdlichen Einsatz, unseren Urlaub zu etwas ganz Besonderem zu machen. Schon bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir herzlich empfangen und mit allen wichtigen Informationen versorgt.

  Das Antigone Traditional House liegt im ruhigen Koskinou, ein traditionelles und schönes Dorf ohne großem touristischen Aufkommen. Ioannis ist ein wunderbarer Gastgeber. Beim Einchecken gab es ein Willkommenspaket mit griechischen Spezialitäten, außerdem er hat uns alles ausführlich erklärt und uns Tipps für authentische Restaurants in der Nähe gegeben. Er war für uns auch immer erreichbar. Diese Gastfreundlichkeit haben wir sehr geschätzt. Das Haus ist wunderschön und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Von der Klimaanlage bis hin zum Geschirrspüler und einer Waschmaschine ist alles vorhanden. Der Außenbereich lädt zum verweilen ein und der Whirpool und die Außendusche sind toll, wenn man sich abends nochmal kurz erfrischen will. Die Mischung aus traditionellen und modernen Elementen machen aus dem Antigone House eine wahre Luxusunterkunft. Mit einem Mietauto kommt man schnell an viele Strände und innerhalb 20min befindet man sich in Rhodos mit der wundervollen Altstadt. Wir haben die Zeit im
  Antigone Traditional House sehr genossen und kommen gern wieder.

  Het appartement is heel sfeervol ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien. Keuken zeer goed uitgerust, alle wenselijke bad- en bedlinnen aanwezig, TOP!
  Bij aankomst een gevulde koelkast en allemaal locale lekkernijen. Super vriendelijke gastheer die ons veel tips heeft gegeven.
  
  What could be improved: Matras van het bed op de vide was hard.
