You know what’s funny about finding really good places in Greece? Sometimes they’re tucked away in spots you’d never think to look, and Anastasia’s Garden in Stegna is exactly that kind of discovery. I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to this place near Archangelos, I wasn’t expecting much. The road winds through some pretty typical Greek countryside, but then you turn into their property and it’s like someone decided to create this perfect little sanctuary that actually lives up to its name.

The garden part isn’t just marketing fluff, by the way. There’s genuinely beautiful landscaping everywhere, with these winding paths between olive trees and herbs that smell incredible in the evening (honestly, I found myself taking walks just to catch that rosemary and lavender scent). The whole setup feels more like staying at someone’s thoughtfully designed home than a typical hotel – which makes sense given how the staff treats you. Check-in was refreshingly laid-back, and they actually remember your name after day one, which sounds small but makes a huge difference when you’re trying to unwind. The rooms themselves hit that sweet spot between authentic Greek charm and modern comfort – I mean, the air conditioning works perfectly (crucial in summer), but you’ve still got those gorgeous stone accents and handpicked furniture that feels regional without being kitschy.

What really sold me on this place, though, was how well positioned it is for exploring this part of Rhodes without dealing with the chaos of more touristy areas. Stegna beach is literally a few minutes’ walk, and it’s one of those stretches where you can actually find a quiet spot even in July – locals tend to go there in the early evening, which is when the light gets really magical. The village of Archangelos is close enough for authentic tavernas (there’s this place called Taverna Kostas that the hotel folks recommended – absolutely worth it), but far enough that you’re not dealing with cruise ship crowds. Parking is easy, the wifi actually works throughout the property, and honestly, the whole vibe is just… relaxing in a way that’s hard to fake. I stayed for four nights and genuinely didn’t want to leave, which doesn’t happen often. If you’re looking for that balance between genuine Greek hospitality and having your practical needs met without any drama, this is your spot.

  We were welcomed by the owner as if we were part of the family. We stayed in a deluxe apartment that was perfect in every way. Beautifully equipped and furnished, spotlessly clean with excellent kitchen facilities, air conditioning and great shower.
  Lovely view of the sea from our private terrace.
  The grounds of the apartments are very attractive, 2 minutes walk from the beach and tavernas. We would recommend Taverna Maria!
  Tsabika was a fabulous host, even giving us treats on arrival and gifts as we left.

  Greek Hospitality at its best ! A lively and colourful host who checked in on us several times, bringing homemade cake ! Great location, lovely room all set within beautiful gardens. We would thoroughly recommend ! You won’t be disappointed.

  Perfect family accommodation, in stunning grounds. What made the property were the hosts they made us feel like we were at home and couldn't do more to ensure we had everything we needed. We stayed at Anastasia's Garden for 11 nights with our 2 and 4 year old sons. We choose the one bed apartment. It was large enough for the 4 of us and had plenty of room for the boys to play with there cars inside and out. A big bonus for us is having sea and garden views. The property is about a 2 minute walk from the beautiful beach of Stegna, restaurants and shops. During our stay we hired a boat in Stegna (no licence required) we also hired a car at short notice.
