You know what? I almost drove right past Alpha Villas the first time I visited Gennadi – it’s tucked away from the main coastal road in this quiet residential pocket that honestly feels more like stumbling into someone’s well-kept neighborhood than arriving at a hotel. The whole setup is refreshingly unpretentious, just a collection of whitewashed villas scattered around Mediterranean gardens where you can actually hear the cicadas over any tourist noise. Check-in was this wonderfully laid-back affair where the owner (I think his name was Nikos?) spent twenty minutes just chatting about the best tavernas in town and which beaches get crowded when the cruise ships dock in Rhodes.

What really gets me about this place is how it manages to feel properly Greek without any of that resort fakeness you get at bigger properties. The villas themselves are spacious – I mean, you’ve got actual room to spread out your stuff without playing suitcase Tetris – and each one has this little terrace where you can drink your morning coffee while watching the local cats negotiate territorial disputes in the garden below. The kitchenettes are basic but functional (perfect for keeping wine cold and making simple breakfasts), and honestly, the air conditioning works better than half the places I’ve stayed on the islands. Parking’s never an issue here, which might sound boring but trust me, after you’ve circled Rhodes Old Town for forty minutes looking for a spot, you’ll appreciate just pulling up outside your door.

Here’s the thing about Gennadi that most people don’t realize – it’s positioned perfectly for exploring the southern part of Rhodes without dealing with the chaos around Lindos or Rhodes Town. You’re maybe ten minutes from Plimiri Beach, which has this incredible long stretch of sand that never seems to get packed even in July, and the drive down to Prasonisi (where the two seas meet) is absolutely worth doing at least once. The village itself has a couple of solid tavernas where locals actually eat – I’d skip the tourist-heavy places on the beach road and head to the ones up in the village proper where you’ll get better food and prices that won’t make you wince. Alpha Villas sits right in that sweet spot where you feel connected to actual Greek life but you’re not sacrificing comfort or cleanliness. That 9.6 rating makes complete sense once you’ve been there – it’s the kind of place where small details are handled well, staff remember your name after day one, and you end up extending your stay because leaving feels premature.

  Beautiful villa, very modern and new. Immaculately clean and perfect for 4 people. The location is a little remote, you definitely need a car. The beautiful beach is a 2 min walk away. The host was so kind and helpful and was able to help with any queries at all. Would definitely recommend.

  Beautiful modern villa with a fabulous wrap around pool. Great facilities, inside and out. Super clean. A couple of minutes walk to the beach with a lovely beach bar that had a really local feel with draft Alfa and a great calamari! Short drive to the village of Gennadi, which has so many lovely tavernas and bars. Perfect base to visit everywhere in Rhodes from Pradonisi to Rhodes Town. Thank you again to our lovely hosts.   Beautiful villa, very modern and new. Immaculately clean and perfect for 4 people. The villa has everything you could need, the coffee machine was a welcomed extra. Plenty of towels . The location is a little remote, you definitely need a car. The beautiful beach is a 3 min walk away. A very quiet beach with a small beach bar.
  The host was so kind and helpful and was able to help with any queries at all. Would definitely recommend.
  
  What could be improved: The road next to the villa can get quite noisy, you do get used to it after a while.

  Stamatis welcomed us, gave us the keys and short instructions. The fridge was stocked and the house nice and cool. Within walking distance there is a beach and a beach bar.

  Fully equipped property that has everything you could possibly need. Super nice owner too. We used this as a base with which to travel the entire island, but it was great to be able to spend a few wonderful days lounging by the pool too.

  This truly is a wonderful spot – The pool, the sea view and of course the villa itself. We had a great time here. Alpha Villas is a place were you feel comfortable and relaxed. There is a lot of space on the terrace and the pool where you can enjoy the Rhodian sun.
  The host takes exceptionally good care of the customers. The pool was cleaned every other day and there was an "extra cleaning" of the property during our stay. Thank you very much for the wonderful time we had here!
  
  What could be improved: The only thing that you need to be aware of is that the road nearby can be quite busy and thus a bit noisy.- Also, during our stay there was a construction site nearby that we could hear from time to time.

  Very good location, local small bar and beach 100metres from villa. Prasonisi kiting beach is 20min driving. Many shops and restaurants in nearby Gennadi (5km).

  A buitifull villa and not very old, so everything looks shiny and new, everything you would need on your holiday is provided, the bedroom on the lower floor opens up onto the pool which lights up buitifully at night, and it wraps round the villa. My wife and I loved our short stay here and would deffenetly stay here again. Thank you for the warm welcome it was a pleasure to meet you.
