You know what struck me first about Alley 7? The name actually makes perfect sense once you’re standing there – it really is tucked into this narrow medieval alley in the heart of Rhodes’ Old Town, and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it special. I mean, you’re literally sleeping inside UNESCO World Heritage walls here, with cobblestones right outside your window and the kind of authentic Greek atmosphere that most hotels can only dream of replicating.

The location is pretty incredible if you know Rhodes Town at all. Agiou Fanouriou street is one of those quiet residential lanes that tourists usually walk past without noticing, but it’s actually perfectly positioned – you’re maybe a three-minute walk from the Palace of the Grand Masters, and you can easily slip down to Socratous Street for dinner without dealing with the main tourist crowds. The owners clearly know what they’re doing because they’ve managed to create this boutique feel (it’s got that solid 4-star comfort level) while keeping the medieval character intact. The building itself has these thick stone walls that keep things surprisingly cool during the day, though you’ll definitely hear the occasional scooter echoing off the alley walls – but honestly, that’s just part of the Old Town experience.

What really sets this place apart is how they’ve balanced the historic setting with actual modern comfort. The rooms feel authentically Greek without being museum-like, and the staff – well, they actually seem to live here and know the neighborhood inside out. They’ll tell you which tavernas the locals frequent (hint: not the ones on the main squares) and when to visit the Street of Knights for the best photos without crowds. The 8.8 rating makes total sense when you experience it – it’s not trying to be a flashy resort, but everything works well and feels thoughtfully done. Parking can be tricky since you’re in the pedestrian zone, but they’ll sort you out with directions to the nearest spots outside the walls. I’d definitely recommend this if you want to feel like you’re actually staying in medieval Rhodes rather than just visiting it during the day. Just pack light – those cobblestone alleys aren’t great for rolling heavy suitcases, but the authentic experience is absolutely worth the minor inconvenience.

  The location to the main Socrates Street is awesome, makes life so much better when you can go shopping and just nip the bags back easily to the apartment. We had a private yard area also so could relax on multiple areas!!

  The location was amazing. And the roof top park on was great with city views.
  
  What could be improved: The space was a bit tight for our family. And the jacuzzi was cold, wouldn’t heat up.

  The location is perfect, apartment is modern (inc oven and washing machine) and rooftop is a huge plus!
  
  What could be improved: The door locking system was a bit unusual. Needing to unlock the main doors from the inside when exiting felt like a bit of a fire safety concern – perhaps an automatic lock system from the outside would be safer. Some troubles with the toilet flushing but that’s not uncommon in Greece.

  Excellent location. Very clean and has everything you need for a short stay.

  Great location, located in a cute alleyway. Clean and modern rooms. Easy checkin process and the portal you’re given with the info was great. Nice rooftop.
  
  What could be improved: We felt like the measurements of the room were incorrect because the room felt smaller than stated as we have stayed in rooms that had smaller measurements and felt much bigger. Not sure if it’s due to the layout and too much furniture.
