Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of Rhodes accommodations, and Alkyoni City Apartment honestly surprised me in the best way possible. When you first walk up to 12 Georgiou Papanikolaou – which is actually this quiet residential street that most tourists never find – you’re not expecting much from the outside. But here’s the thing about Rhodes Town: some of the best places are tucked away where the cruise ship crowds don’t venture.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s stylish Greek relative decided to rent out their place, you know? Everything’s thoughtfully done without being fussy about it. The kitchen actually has proper cookware (not those flimsy tourist rental pans), and I mean, when you’re walking distance from the Saturday morning market near Mandraki Harbor, you’ll want to cook some of those tomatoes and olives you’ll inevitably buy. The bedrooms are quiet – really quiet – which matters because you’re still close enough to hear the occasional late-night revelry from the Old Town, but far enough that it’s just background ambiance rather than keeping you awake. The air conditioning works properly too, and in July heat, that’s not negotiable.

What I love about this spot is how it puts you in actual Rhodes life rather than tourist Rhodes life. You’re a fifteen-minute walk from the Palace of the Grand Master, sure, but you’re also around the corner from that little bakery that opens at 6 AM and sells the best tyropita in town. The locals walk their dogs on this street in the evenings, and there’s something really lovely about sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine, watching regular Greek life happen below. Parking can be a bit tricky – it’s street parking, and Greeks have… creative interpretations of parking rules – but honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t need the car much. The New Town beaches are walkable, the Old Town is walkable, and the port area where all the good fish restaurants are is maybe twenty minutes on foot. You’ll get your steps in, but it never feels like a trek. The owners clearly know what they’re doing too – check-in was smooth, they left local recommendations that were actually good (not just tourist traps), and when we had a minor issue with the WiFi, someone was there within an hour to sort it out. I’d definitely book this place again, especially if you want to feel like you’re living in Rhodes rather than just visiting it.

  It was a wonderful experience of staying at the apartment.
  The host was so kind and thoughtful. Everything was really comfortable and clean inside the apartment.
  Seaside is 5 min of walking , a lot of great places to eat is around.

  We were extremely happy with our vacation. The apartment was absolutely beautiful and clean, and the cherry on top was our host and property owner, Nico, who was so friendly and helpful. The best part was that he surprised us one morning with delicious donuts. He also helped us arrange transportation to the airport and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and attractions. The apartment itself is in a perfect location – the stunning blue beaches and restaurants are just a few minutes away. It’s an ideal place for a family holiday or simply to enjoy the charms of Rhodes.

  Super holiday apartment
  Bright and spacious , comfy beds , well equipped including extras on arrival , aircon was great , balcony all around

  The location is perfect for a combination of the sea and town. The property is very clean and fresh. The host- Nikos, is best! Made us feel very welcomed. Always available. Even prepared some surprises.

  This Appartement was the best experience we ever had. Specially the host of the house did everything possible that we had a special stay. The location is very close to everything. Good bars and restaurants and also the old town. We will definitely come to visit this apartment in Rhodes again. Thank you very much for everything.

  The apartment was spacious and clean. It felt almost new, the decoration was nice and there were all kinds of facilities in the kitchen (including a washing machine and a dishwasher). Everything worked well. There are three bedrooms (of which one can be used as a dining room), a kitchen, a bathroom and a balcony surrounding the flat. The host was very friendly and helpful and we felt very welcome. The location is just perfect: 5 minutes to the beach, 15 minutes to the old town. There are lots of restaurants nearby and also a decent supermarket.
  
  What could be improved: The only small minus is a noisy bar below, but the noise won't last the whole night. After the bar is closed, it's quiet and nice.

  This is a lovely, bright, clean apartment in a great location. You can walk to the beach, shops and the old town easily. Nikos, the owner, is a super kind and friendly host. He checked in to make sure we had everything we needed and even took us to the port for our early ferry. I highly recommend staying here
