You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Aithonas Villa in Archangelos – honestly, the name alone had me wondering if this was going to be one of those places that sounds fancier than it actually is. But walking through those doors, I immediately got why this place has such a perfect rating. There’s something about the way they’ve set everything up that just feels… right, if that makes sense.

The thing about Archangelos is that most people blow right through it on their way to Lindos or the eastern beaches, which is actually perfect for us because it means Aithonas Villa sits in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to everything but not drowning in tourist chaos. The staff here – and I mean this – actually seem to give a damn about making your stay work. Not in that overly rehearsed hospitality way, but like they’re genuinely invested in whether you have a good time. I had this issue with my room key on the second day (totally my fault, left it near my phone and it got demagnetized), and instead of the usual bureaucratic dance, they just sorted it out and threw in a recommendation for this little taverna down the road that honestly served some of the best kleftiko I’ve had on the island.

What really gets me about this place is how they’ve managed to nail that four-star comfort level without losing the Greek island vibe. The rooms have proper air conditioning – trust me, you’ll appreciate this in July – and the beds are actually comfortable, not those rock-hard mattresses you sometimes get at family-run places. But they haven’t gone overboard with trying to make it feel like some generic international hotel chain. The balconies look out over olive groves rather than parking lots, and in the evenings you can hear the church bells from the village center mixed with cicadas doing their thing. Parking is easy too, which is more than I can say for most places in Rhodes. The whole setup just works – you’re a quick drive from the Butterfly Valley if you’re into that sort of nature walk, and the road to Anthony Quinn Bay takes maybe fifteen minutes without any of the traffic nightmares you get staying closer to Rhodes Town. I’d definitely come back here, and honestly, I’m sort of hoping it stays under the radar because places like this have a way of getting too popular for their own good.

  Fabulous holiday at Aithonas Villa. The villa is superb with everything you could wish for, eceptionally clean and comfortable with stunning outdoor gardens and pool where we spent lots of time. Easy access by car to lovely beaches and restaurants. Charoula, our host was very welcoming and kind and added some beautiful personal touches. She also had some great recommendations for beaches, restaurants and places to visit. Loved our stay.

  Absolutely Amazing Stay at Villa Aithonas in Rhodes!
  We recently had the pleasure of spending a holiday at Villa Aithonas in Rhodes, and it was an experience beyond compare. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that we had found a true gem.
  The first thing that captivated us was the stunning garden, beautifully designed with multiple little corners, each offering a unique vibe. Whether you wanted to lounge in the sun, read in a shaded nook, or enjoy an evening drink, there was a perfect spot for every mood. The variety and creativity in the garden's design made it a standout feature of the villa.
  Privacy and tranquility are two of the villa's most remarkable aspects. Nestled away from the hustle and bustle, Villa Aithonas provides a serene retreat where you can truly unwind. The peace and quiet were a welcome escape, making our stay incredibly relaxing.
  The villa itself is a perfect blend of beauty and practicality. It's tastefully decorated, providing a cozy yet elegant atmosphere. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered to ensure maximum comfort. The house is well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, making it feel like a home away from home. We loved the spacious layout and the perfect blend of modern conveniences with charming decor.
  One of the highlights of our stay was the fantastic host. From the very first greeting, we felt incredibly welcomed. The host's warmth and hospitality were exceptional, making us feel right at home immediately. Throughout our stay, she was always available, offering excellent tips for local outings and helping with any practical matters we encountered. Her genuine care and attentiveness added a personal touch that made our holiday even more special.
  In summary, Villa Aithonas is an absolute paradise. The enchanting garden, the serene privacy, the beautifully practical house, and the outstanding host all combined to create a perfect holiday experience.

  It was really perfect. So wonderful and magical this villa. Everything we needed was there already and also the interior was furnished with so much effort and love.
  Our host Charoulä was amazing and lovingly. Giving us tips where to eat, where to stay, which beaches to visit and what to do. She was always there for us when we had questions.
  We’re going to visit again definitely.

  The location is wonderful with a magnificent garden and a sparkling clean villa.
  The villa is equipped with everything needed to cook (stove, oven, barbeque), refresh your clothes (washing machine), or just enjoy a beautiful day around the pool.

  Our stay at Aithonas Villa was marvellous! The host, Haroula, was very welcoming and kind. The extra touches throughout the villa ensured our stay exceeded our expectations. This place is gorgeous and feel very inspired after staying here.

  100% 5* Amazing villa with everything you could possibly need, a really beautiful garden with covered outdoor BBQ area and stunning stonework throughout. The host was lovely, friendly and helpful throughout without being intrusive, whilst going above and beyond at the end of our stay by driving us to the airport when our transfer failed to turn up. We can never thank our host enough for this. This is not a tourist area so prices for eating out and in supermarkets are very reasonable. Dino’s Mezes restaurant, a walkable distance down the road was great for a casual evening meal.
  
  What could be improved: You absolutely have to hire a car as supermarkets are just a bit too far to walk to and apart from Dino’s Mezes there aren’t any other walkable places to eat out. There are no taxis available in Archangelos as it is not a tourist area. If you are comfortable with driving on holiday then this is not a problem.

  This is the most amazing villa. Everything exceeded our expectations, it was a like little piece of paradise tucked away from the rest of the world. The villa itself is beautifully decorated and furnished, there is everything you need plus more. We were blown away by the outside space which includes 3 separate eating areas, and at leat 5 sitting and relaxing areas. The outside dining area and BBQ were perfect for evenings and breakfast of fresh figs picked straight from the tree by the pool. The perfect pool, sun loungers and cabana bed ensured we totally relaxed and could have sun or shade anytime of the day. Charoula is an exceptional host, she was there to greet us and ensure we had every comfort we needed and also provided some traditional greek food which is both delicious and generous.I would not hesitate to recommend this villa, although I would like to keep it a secret! If you get a chance to book a week , you will not regret it and if like us you will just be planning when to go back again.
