Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Afroditi Superior Apartments in Stegna – I mean, the name sounds pretty standard, right? But this place actually surprised me in the best way possible. It’s tucked right along Stegna Beach, which if you haven’t been, is this gorgeous stretch of golden sand that’s way less crowded than some of the bigger Rhodes beaches. You know what I love about staying here? You can literally roll out of bed and be on the beach in under two minutes, and not that rocky, uncomfortable kind of beach access – I’m talking about soft sand that actually feels good under your feet.

The apartments themselves have this clean, modern Greek island vibe without trying too hard. My unit had this little balcony where I’d sit with my morning coffee, watching the fishing boats head out early – there’s something really peaceful about that rhythm, you know? The kitchen was actually functional too, which is rare in a lot of these places. I ended up cooking a few meals because there’s a small market just a short walk away where you can grab fresh tomatoes and local cheese. The air conditioning works properly (trust me, this matters in July), and the Wi-Fi is solid if you need to check in with work or upload photos. Parking was never an issue either, which anyone who’s driven around Greek islands will tell you is a legitimate concern.

What really sets this place apart though is how the owner, Maria, runs things – she’s one of those people who actually cares about your experience without being overbearing about it. She gave me genuine recommendations for tavernas that locals go to, not just the touristy spots. There’s this little family-run place about ten minutes up the road toward Archangelos village that I never would have found otherwise, and honestly, it ended up being one of my favorite meals of the trip. The location is perfect if you want to explore Rhodes without dealing with the chaos of Rhodes Town every day. Archangelos is close enough for a quick trip to see the castle ruins or grab supplies, but Stegna has this laid-back feeling where you can actually relax. The beach gets some afternoon wind, which is perfect if you’re into windsurfing or just want a break from the heat. I stayed for five days and could easily have stayed longer – it’s that kind of place where you slip into a comfortable routine and remember why you love traveling in the first place.

  apartment was very clean, good location, good internet coverage and air con.
  Fridge was full of goodies on our arrival which was amazing as we arrived quite late so we had things for breakfast ready. Also Koula was very accommodating, we arrived later than expected and she had no problem to wait for us. Thank you for great stay!
  
  What could be improved: bathroom is a bit smaller than expected, lower water pressure in shower, but those are just little things, overall very happy with our stay!

  Everything was great. Apartment was clean, with kitchen, very cozy, near the sea, If i will ever come back to Rhodos, i will stay in Afroditi Superior Apartment.
  
  What could be improved: I liked everything, just need to know, that if you want to travel, you need to rent a car, apartment is 2,2 km from Archangelos and bus stops and you need to walk up to hill.

  The apartment just perfect we loved it so much❤️
  2 min near the sea ( Stegna beach is soo beautiful and clean, sandy, children and elederly people friendly sea entrance), super clean, comfortable, light, peaceful and quite. The design is very natural and cozy, it is felt that the owners put their souls in decoration with much attention to the details. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. The balcony of the room we stayed in has beautiful sea and garden view and we enjoyed peaceful mornings and evenings with the blankets available in the apartment.
  Welcome food and drink was just what we need after the long journey and this was very pleasant!

  Dear, Kaula. We are thankful to had the opportunity to spend our holiday in the Anchargelos, your apartment. We loved quiet mornings and evenings because the apartment is in the second line. We found everything we needed and even more than we expected. The beach is just a few steps away. It is a very friendly and unique township. Even cats are cultured! With your constant concern, we felt safe and welcome. It was always nice to find a parking spot. We fell in love with Rhode and you played a big part in that. Thank you so much and we promise to see you again.

  Loved absolutely everything about this place, looks exactly like the pictures! Loved being able to see the sea from our room. Koula was such a lovely host and made sure everything was up to the mark. Place was spotless and cleaned everyday, there were fruits, water and wine waiting for us when we arrived and little snacks! Great location for Stegna and we were recommended a restaurant by Koula that was fab! There is literally nothing negative to say about this place

  We had a really nice stay at this apartment. It was very clean and had a very beautiful and good equipment. We couldn't have wished for more. The room has an air condition as well. It only takes around 3 minutes by foot to the beach. There are also a lot of lovely taverna with good food close the apartment. The owner was also very nice and kind. Would recommend this place to everyone, 10/10 🙂
