You know what caught me off guard about Afroditi Junior Suites? It’s actually right on Stegna beach – and I mean *right* on it. I’ve stayed at plenty of “beachfront” places that require a ten-minute hike through parking lots, but here you’re literally stepping from your room onto this gorgeous stretch of golden sand. The whole setup feels more like a boutique hideaway than your typical Greek island hotel, honestly.

The suites themselves are surprisingly spacious (hence the “junior suites” name, I guess), with these little touches that show someone actually thought about how people live in a space for more than one night. The kitchenettes are properly equipped – not just a mini-fridge and a prayer – and the balconies face the water with views that change throughout the day. Morning coffee looking out at the fishing boats heading out, evening wine watching the sunset paint everything orange and pink. The air conditioning works properly too, which… well, if you’ve traveled around Greece in summer, you know that’s not always a given.

What really makes this place special is its location on Stegna beach itself. Most tourists hit Lindos or Anthony Quinn Bay (which are beautiful, don’t get me wrong), but Stegna stays relatively quiet even in peak season. The beach has this lovely crescent shape with clear water that’s perfect for swimming – no dramatic cliffs or strong currents to worry about. There’s a handful of tavernas right along the sand where you can grab fresh fish and cold beer without putting on shoes. The family that runs Maria’s place does incredible grilled octopus, and they’re just a two-minute walk down the beach.

Archangelos village is about a ten-minute drive inland if you want to stock up on groceries or explore somewhere with a bit more local flavor – it’s one of those places where old Greek men still sit around the plateia playing backgammon. The drive up there winds through olive groves and gives you these glimpses of the interior that most people miss when they stick to the coast. Parking at the hotel is straightforward, which matters more than you’d think when you’re dealing with rental cars and narrow Greek streets.

I’ll be honest – this isn’t the place if you want a resort with three pools and organized activities. It’s more for people who appreciate good design, want to actually relax, and don’t mind that the nearest big supermarket requires a bit of planning. The staff knows the area really well and can point you toward hiking trails or quiet coves that don’t show up in guidebooks. Check-in was smooth, they speak excellent English, and they seem to genuinely care about whether you’re enjoying your stay rather than just going through the motions.

The 9.7 rating makes sense once you spend a few days here – it’s that rare combination of beautiful location, thoughtful accommodations, and the kind of peaceful atmosphere that makes you understand why people fall in love with the Greek islands in the first place.

  Our host was fantastic and other people who helped clean the place were also wonderful. The kitchen was quite well equipped. The property had a lovely balcony that we could start our day at overlooking the sea. We appreciate having laundry facilities available. We like the location as it was very close to a number of good restaurants and a nice local beach. A very nice feature was a delivery of fresh rolls every morning and the host was provided whatever breakfast foods we wanted.
  
  What could be improved: We felt that the property could be decorated with a bit more of a attention to taste. We didn’t much like that. The bed was two twin beds against one another, as that meant that one of us is going to have to deal with a slight gap between the beds, if there was an effort to snuggle.

  We travelled around Rhodes and tried several accommodations (not big resorts) and Afroditi was far the best one. Hard to say what we liked most because everything was perfect. Maybe one thing worth mentioning: Tsambika, the hostess, is that kind of person who everybody wants to be friend with. Supernice and willing to fullfill any customers wish anytime of the day. We are happy that we did meet her and choose her facility to spend our holiday. We are looking forward to come back soon. Afroditi will always be the first option in Rhodes.

  What could be improved: The location could not be better. A few minutes walk to the beach restaurants supermarket. The vibe was relaxing no rush sea safe. Bus service to Rhodes if you needed it. My rating would be 5 stars ill be back.

  I loved everything about my stay at Afroditi! The property was lovely, well located to everything in Stegna and the room was very clean with cleaning provided regularly. The facilities were amazing and the kitchen was really well equipped.
  But the best thing about Afroditi was the host, Tsambika. Tsambika was amazing and so lovely, she went out of her way to make our stay so special even leaving us sweet treats that her mum made.

  The location is great, you can reach the most beautiful sea of ​​Rhodes in 1-2 minutes by walking

  Perfect place for a dreamy relaxing holiday! Apartment was spacious, well furnished and beautifully decorated. Comfortable beds, all required kitchen utensils for cooking, good aircon. Wifi was strong enough to work with video calls. The host was warm and caring! Location very central by the beach but away from the main street so peaceful at night.

  Amazing host! All staff welcomed us very friendly. Sweats and drinks were ready in our room. The rooms are big enough, very clean, the balcony is very nice in the afternoon, very useful kitchen.
