You know what hits you first at Aelia Sea View Bungalow? The quiet. I mean, you’re still in Gennadi, but this place sits just far enough from the main village buzz that you actually hear the waves at night – and honestly, after driving down from Rhodes town (about 45 minutes of winding coastal roads), that sound is exactly what you need.

The bungalow itself is one of those places that photographs well but somehow feels even better in person. The sea view isn’t just marketing speak – you’re literally looking out over the Mediterranean from your terrace, and depending on which way the wind’s blowing, you can catch the scent of wild herbs from the hills behind mixed with that salty air. The setup is pretty smart actually; they’ve positioned everything so you get morning sun but afternoon shade, which matters more than you’d think when it’s pushing 35 degrees in July. Inside, it’s got that modern Greek aesthetic without feeling sterile – think clean lines but with local touches like those handwoven rugs and ceramic pieces that you know someone’s grandmother probably made. The kitchen’s actually functional too (I cooked breakfast there a few mornings), though honestly, with Taverna Kipos just a ten-minute walk down the path toward the beach, you might not bother much with cooking.

What really sold me on this place – and why that 9.6 rating makes total sense – is how they’ve nailed the details that matter. The Wi-Fi actually works (tested it on video calls), there’s proper blackout curtains for afternoon naps, and the shower has decent pressure, which isn’t always a given in smaller Greek properties. Parking’s right there, no dragging luggage up three flights of stairs or hunting for spots. The owners, well, they’re around if you need them but not hovering, you know? They left local recommendations that were spot-on, including this little bakery in Gennadi village that opens ridiculously early and makes these cheese pies that’ll ruin you for airport food forever. The beach access is the real winner though – there’s a path that leads down to a stretch of coast that’s never crowded, even in peak season. It’s pebbly rather than sand, so bring water shoes if you’re picky about that stuff, but the water’s this incredible clear blue-green that makes you understand why people write poetry about the Aegean. September’s probably the sweet spot for visiting – still warm enough for swimming, but the August crowds have mostly cleared out, and you get these amazing sunsets without fighting for a good viewing spot.

  Rarely does one come across a vacation rental that is so well taken care of. Impeccably clean, comfortable, with thought given to every detail. Beautifil garden and patio. An amazing location a few minutes walk to the beach and to the village.

  We had an amazing experience at this accommodation! The house was exceptionally clean and well-equipped, with lots of beautiful decorations and details making us feel like at home from the moment we arrived. The location was perfect, with the sea just a short walk away and a variety of great restaurants nearby. Beach was wonderful, with stones, clear water, not crowded. We truly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay.

  Lovely accommodation and location, plenty of space for family of 4.front terrace with lovely view.kitchen had everything you needed. Welcome pack was a nice touch and enjoyed working my way through it.

  Wir blieben 2 Wochen mit unserem Baby dort und wir hätten uns kaum einen besseren Ort dafür aussuchen können 🙂
  Der Ort lädt zum Entschleunigen ein.
  Es ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und hat einen wundervollen gepflegten Garten mit Blick auf das schöne klare Meer.
  Der Fußweg zum Kiesstrand ist wirklich kurz. Der Strand selbst ist kein Highlight aber völlig ausreichend.
  
  Gennadi selbst mit den guten Restaurants ist fußläufig entfernt. Es ist ein idyllischer Ort mit freundlichen Leuten.
  
  Wir haben außerdem gute Empfehlungen bekommen und uns wurde ein Babybett sowie ein Babystuhl zur Verfügung gestellt.

  Tolle, ruhige Lage mit unverbauter Sicht aufs Meer, sehr sauber, liebevolle Dekoration, 10 Gehminuten zum Dorf Grennadi, wo man gut einkaufen und sehr gut essen kann, ausreichend Hand-und Badetücher, sehr gute Küchenausstattung, Geschirrspüler und Waschmaschine 🙂, ein supernettes Willkommenspaket – diese Unterkunft empfehlen wir gerne weiter, der Süden Rhodos hat uns mit seiner griechischen Ursprünglichkeit positiv überrascht, es wahr eine traumhafte Zeit auf dieser Insel

  Klidná lokalita poskytující dostatečné soukromí v těsné blízkosti čisté pláže s drobnými kamínky (cca 300m chůze). Prostornost, vybavení bungalowu i kvalita lůžek výborná. Střed městečka Gennadi v blízkém okolí (několik minut chůze), zde mnoho typických restaurací s pestrou nabídkou lokálních pokrmů.
  Nejpůsobnějším zážitkem po celou dobu pobytu byl zřejmý zájem majitele o útulnost bungalowu (vybavení mnoha doplňky vytvářejícími atmosféru klidu, pohody a domácího prostředí), jeho blízké okolí a hosty. Myslím, že vše dělá s láskou.

  A szállás könnyen megtalálható volt. Egy csöndes kis városban távol a város zajától. A teraszról csodálatos kilátás van a 2-3 perc sétára található tengerparttól. A ház egyszerűen tökéletes volt, teljesen a mi ízlésünk szerint volt berendezve. Minden szempontból megfelelt. A konyhai felszerelések és a kerti grillezési lehetőségek tökéletesek volt ahhoz, ha nem volt kedvünk étterembe menni, mindent el tudtunk készíteni. A szállásadó ajánlott egy remek halboltot, ahol a reggeli friss fogásból tudtunk vásárolni isteni halakat, rákokat. A szállásadó Rita, fantasztikus ajándékokkal várt minket. Hatalmas tál gyümölccsel, vízzel és borral ami a hűtőben volt előkészítve. Egy ajándékos ládával ami tele volt mindenféle finomsággal, mézzel, édeséggel, borral, olíva olajjal és még sorolhatnám. Aztán a következő meglepetés a hálószobában várt minket. Ott egy kis szatyorban kis vendégtörölközőket, kézműves szappant, egy üvegben kagylókat stb. Egy szóval, le voltunk nyűgözve. Soha nem voltunk még olyan helyen, ahol ennyi mindennel vártak volna minket. Egyet sajnáltunk, hogy ezt személyesen nem tudtuk megköszönni Ritának. Csodálatos virágok, növények voltak a kertben és a kedvencem a két fa között lévő függőágy………. imádtam! Bolt, pékség és hangulatos éttermek voltak a közelben, gyalogosan 10 perc sétára. A tenger még meleg volt, gyönyörű kristálytiszta, hínártól mentes, apró színes kavicsos parttal ……….. Ez a tökéletes hely arra, ha kikapcsolódni, pihenni vágyik az ember. Mindent köszönünk Rita, mi is hagytunk ott egy pár általunk készített ajándékot a szálláson. Csáki Család Magyarországról 🙂

  Super miejsce, wyposażone we wszystkie niezbędne rzeczy. Przepiękny ogród, śniadanie na zielonym tarasie z widokiem na morze 😍
  Plaża to jak prywatna, kilka osób oddalonych od siebie. Dziękujemy za gościnę i polecamy serdecznie.
