Hotel Description

You know what? I’ve stayed at plenty of places in Rhodes, but Aegean View Estates in Faliraki actually surprised me – and honestly, that 9.6 rating isn’t just holiday euphoria talking. The thing is, when most people think Faliraki, they picture the crazy party strip with British lads downing pints at noon, but this place sits just far enough away that you get the best of both worlds. You’re maybe a 10-minute walk from Anthony Quinn Bay (which, by the way, is absolutely worth the trek down those slightly sketchy stone steps), but you won’t have drunk teenagers stumbling past your window at 3 AM.

The rooms themselves feel more like actual apartments than hotel boxes – I mean, you’ve got proper kitchenettes with full-size fridges, which is clutch when you want to stock up on those amazing Greek yogurts from the local market instead of paying hotel breakfast prices every morning. The balconies face west toward the water, so sunset drinks become sort of mandatory (not complaining). What really got me though was how the staff actually remembered my name after day two – Maria at the front desk knew I preferred my coffee strong and would have it ready when I’d stumble down around 8:30. That kind of thing matters more than fancy marble lobbies, you know? The pool area gets busy around midday when families arrive, but early morning or late afternoon it’s perfect for actually swimming laps instead of dodging kids with floaties.

Here’s the thing about location that booking sites don’t tell you – you’re walking distance from the real Faliraki village, not just the tourist madness. There’s this little taverna called Kostas (ask Maria for directions, she’ll draw you a map) where locals actually eat, and the moussaka will ruin every other version you’ve ever had. The beach access is decent too, though I’d recommend grabbing one of those rocky coves further south if you want fewer crowds – the hotel staff can point you toward some spots that don’t show up on Google Maps. Parking was never an issue, which honestly shocked me given how cramped most Greek coastal hotels get. Check-in was smooth, they held our luggage when we arrived early, and the WiFi actually worked throughout the property (apparently not a given based on some horror stories from friends). Look, it’s not going to blow your mind with cutting-edge design or Michelin-starred dining, but sometimes you just want a place that feels comfortable, where the shower has proper water pressure and the AC doesn’t sound like a dying helicopter. For what you pay, especially compared to the overpriced spots closer to Rhodes Town, Aegean View Estates delivers exactly what it promises – just with a few pleasant surprises thrown in.

  • Louise from United Kingdom – 14 August 2024 (10/10)

Spacious, everything we needed, clean . Pool to ourselves most of the time. Well kept property and gardens.

    What could be improved: Nothing.

  • Andrejs from Latvia – 28 June 2024 (10/10)

Everything is perfect! Views are fantastic! Apartments has everything you need. Perfect air conditioning. Clean and warm pool.

What could be improved: I would prefer to know on the booking stage, that 300 eur deposit is needed. Nowhere was written about it.

  • Stacey from United Kingdom – 10 June 2024 (10/10)

Aegean view is absolutely beautiful. It’s like a little bit of heaven! The view has to be the best in Faliraki. It’s just stunning. The property was spotless. So spacious for a family and had everything we needed. The pool area was great especially as it was so hot. I loved sitting on the balcony in the mornings with a coffee watching the world go by!

What could be improved: A car is recommended as it’s a little out of way which was fine for us but it’s a good walk till any shop or supermarket.
A fridge would have been good in the pool bar area to keep water/drinks in while at the pool. It was so hot the drinks got warm very quickly.

  • Lenka from Ireland – 15 May 2024 (10/10)

Very peaceful place. Amazing view of the sea from the property . Very clean and beautiful place . Swimming pool and garden area for kids to play . The nearby Ladiko and Anthony Quinn are two of the best beaches in Rhodes and both have a taverna/ restaurant – they are about 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk. There’s also a Lelis taverna in walking distance , very friendly owner, but in had limited opening hours outside the main summer season.

What could be improved: We liked everything

  • Viaceslavas from Lithuania – 3 October 2022 (10/10)

Well arranged apartment, with very nice view from the balcony. Beautiful and really big plot with swimming pool, barbecue area. Automatic gates, so all backyard is closed and secured.

What could be improved: Bathroom is on a small side, but thats very small issue.

  • Benjamin from Belgium – 8 September 2022 (10/10)
