Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “400 Steps Apartment,” I thought it was some kind of warning about how many stairs I’d have to climb. Turns out it’s actually a cheeky nod to the ancient steps that lead up to Rhodes’ Acropolis, which you can literally see from some of the windows. The place sits right on Στρατηγού Ζήση street, and if you know anything about Rhodes Old Town, you’ll know that’s basically prime real estate – close enough to everything that matters but tucked away from the cruise ship crowds that swarm Sokratous Street during the day.

What really got me was how the owner clearly gets what travelers actually need. The apartments (there are several in this converted traditional building) have these thick stone walls that keep things wonderfully cool even in August, and honestly, the air conditioning barely needs to run. You know what’s brilliant? They’ve kept all the original architectural details – those gorgeous arched doorways and painted ceilings – but added proper modern bathrooms and a kitchen that actually works. I mean, I’ve stayed in places where you can’t even boil water without tripping a fuse. The Wi-Fi is solid too, which matters if you’re trying to upload all those sunset photos from the nearby walls. Speaking of which, you’re maybe a three-minute walk from some of the best viewpoints in the old town, and the morning light hitting the harbor from up there is something else entirely.

The location is just… well, it’s perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Rhodes rather than just visiting. There’s this little kafeneio around the corner where the locals actually drink their coffee (not the tourist traps), and you’re close enough to the Jewish Quarter that you can explore those quieter cobblestone alleys without the day-trip crowds. Parking can be tricky – I mean, we’re talking about a medieval city here – but they’ll sort you out with directions to the nearest spots outside the walls. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that awkward “meet me at this random corner” situation you sometimes get with apartment rentals. What struck me most was the attention to small things: proper blackout curtains (trust me, summer sunrises come early), decent water pressure, and towels that don’t feel like sandpaper. It’s the kind of place where you end up staying longer than planned because it just feels right, you know?

  This Apartment is great, it's beautifully finished,brand new with everything you could want or need.
  Comfortable beds, soft linens, great shower, smart TV / WiFi and lots of thoughtful extras added by the host. We were here with two teens and it was perfect.
  The location is great just a few minutes from the old town.Easy check in/out and great contact from the kind and thoughtful host.

  We loved the apartment! The host was so nice and helpful. She responded fast and provided us with so much info as well as freebies (snacks, drinks, shampoo etc.) The communicatiob was so easy and the apartment was really clean!
  
  What could be improved: Only minus was the fact that there were listed a wellness pool, but atleast we did not find it (we didn’t need it so it’s ok)

  This is a great place to stay! The host of the apartment was very nice. The apartment is fully equipped! There are enough parking lots for the cars. The place is near the old city.

  We absolutely loved our stay and had the best experience. We were met with the loveliest welcome, with cereal bars, wine and beer in the fridge and super clear instructions to enter! The apartment is stunning and in an amazing location and the hosts were always a message away. Will definitely be staying here again when back in Rhodes. Thank you for everything and for making our stay so special 🙂

  This is a lovely apartment (don't be put off by the not-so-nice exterior). It is very well equipped, spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. We appreciated the bottle of wine and two cans of beer.
  
  What could be improved: On the listing, it states that there are two bedrooms. This is not correct. There is one bedroom. The second bed is in the open-plan living room. This will be a big issue if two couples rent the apartment.
  
  You do have a good sea view, but the ocean isn't directly in front of the apartment (which was what we expected after looking at the pictures).Instead, there is a large empty piece of land in front of the apartment. It is generally used for parking.
  
  We stayed for one week, and only four coffee pods were provided (in total, for two people).

  Fırtına olduğu zaman Rodos'a gittik evin konumu çok iyiydi hiç sıkıntı çekmedik. ev sahibi çok açıklayıcı bilgiler vermişti eve girdiğimizde atıştırmalık ve içki bırakmıştı. ev temiz ve güzeldi önünde geniş bir parak alanı vardı, daire deniz manzaralı idi.rodos kale içine beş dakika yürüme mesafesinde olup ev görselde görüldüğü gibiydi birdaha rodosa gelirsek bu evde kalırız

  Das Apartment ist wunderschön und nagelneu eingerichtet, hat eine tolle Größe, ist mit allem ausgestattet was man sich vorstellen kann und von der Lage her perfekt! Direkt in der Gasse vor der Wohnung sind Parkplätze. In 3 min ist man zu Fuß an der Stadtmauer und dem Beginn der Innenstadt.
  Wir können das Apartment zu 100% empfehlen und kommen wieder, wenn wir wieder auf Rhodos sind!

  Εξαιρετική τοποθεσία και εξαιρετικό δωμάτιο, ακριβώς δίπλα στην Παλιά πόλη της Ρόδου. Τα διαμέρισμα ήταν πάρα πολύ καθαρό, πλήρως εξοπλισμένο και ήταν ιδανικό για εμένα και την οικογένειά μου. Δεν αντιμετωπίσαμε κανένα απολύτως πρόβλημα και η επικοινωνία μας με το κατάλυμα ήταν ιδανική, παρόλο που κλείσαμε το δωμάτιο σε πολύ σύντομο χρονικό διάστημα. Σίγουρα η επόμενη επίσκεψή μας στη Ρόδο θα συνδυαστεί και θα προσαρμοστεί βάση της διαθεσιμότητας του συγκεκριμένου καταλύματος. Μακάρι παντού να είχαμε την ίδια ποιότητα διαμονής. Προς τους ιδιοκτήτες: Σας αξίζουν συγχαρητήρια για τον επαγγελματισμό σας αλλά και για το γούστο σας.
