Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the address “30villa Rd” on Proedrou Kennedy, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The street name sounds pretty official (it’s named after President Kennedy, obviously), but this place turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special in Rhodes Town.

The location is actually brilliant, though you might not realize it at first glance. You’re close enough to the medieval Old Town that you can walk there in about ten minutes – and I mean a proper stroll, not a sweaty march – but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the tourist chaos and those massive cruise ship crowds that descend on the harbor area every morning. The street itself is pretty quiet, which honestly surprised me given how central you are. I mean, you can still hear a bit of traffic from the main roads, but it’s more of a gentle hum than anything disruptive.

What really got me was the attention to detail here – you know how some four-star places feel like they’re trying too hard? This isn’t that. The staff actually remembers your name after the first day (rare these days), and they’ll give you proper local recommendations, not just the tourist trap stuff. I asked about where to get good souvlaki, and instead of pointing me toward some overpriced place in the Old Town, they directed me to this tiny spot locals actually use – that’s the kind of insider knowledge you can’t fake. The rooms themselves feel genuinely comfortable rather than just Instagram-pretty, though they photograph well enough if that’s your thing.

Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this part of Rhodes Town – it’s not impossible, but you’ll want to ask the front desk for specific advice rather than just driving around hoping for the best. The 9.5 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here; it’s not flashy or over-the-top luxurious, but everything just works the way it should. The air conditioning actually cools the room, the shower has proper pressure, the wifi doesn’t cut out every five minutes – you’d be amazed how many places get these basics wrong.

If you’re planning to explore both the medieval city and maybe take some day trips around the island, this spot gives you easy access to everything without feeling like you’re staying in the middle of a theme park. The beach at Elli isn’t far if you want to swim, though honestly, I’d recommend renting a scooter and hitting some of the less crowded beaches up the coast – but that’s just me. September and early October are probably the sweet spot for staying here, when the summer crowds thin out but the weather’s still gorgeous.

  Host is very nice and only a message away. The house is model and clean with nice beds, good bathroom and kitchen. The garden is very relaxing. Location is walkable to town centre, port and old town.
  
  What could be improved: Only thing is you have to walk 5 to 10 mins for restaurants but that is good for us to burn off all the extra calories.

  The uniqueness of this property is the single level living and the relaxing outdoor garden. I travelled with older people and the ability to wonder outside and enjoy the garden as well as not have to deal with internal steps was advantageous.
  
  In addition, although the older people required taxi's for transport, the accommodation was close enough for the rest of the family to walk to Rhodes city, the Old town, bakery and supermarket.
  
  What could be improved: It would be helpful if the shower handle could attach to the wall without need for holding the handle when showering.

  A great property, plenty of room for the 6 adults in our party. Very well equipped. We particularly enjoyed the tranquil outdoor space, lovely to relax in with a morning coffee. Host extremely helpful both during the booking process & subsequently.

  It’s a great location with local bakery and supermarket nearby. It’s easy to explore sightseeing from the apartment by foot. The garden invites you to relax and everything is well maintained. The house is clean and equipped with everything necessary for a longer stay. We really wanted to stay longer and will come again.

  The villa was exceptional! It was very beautifyl, clean and comfortable! The kitchen and bathrooms were equipped with everything you could need, from water, wine, popcorn, condiments, pots to trashbags, toilet paper, towls, and much more! The beds and pillows were very comfortable! The location is perfect in an nice and quiet neighborhood only 5-10 min by car from the city center! I would recomended for sure!

  The hosts had very kindly left all kinds of snacks, and the kitchen and bathroom were well stocked with essential items. It would be nice in future if there was a cafetiere because the coffee machine was complicated to use. The bakery round the corner was excellent – delicious treats.

  As experienced travelers and who are not easily impressed with accommodations. We felt the need to express that 30 Villa Rd is the standard all other properties should immulate. The level of professionalism, attention to detail, location to attractions, and effort to create a magical experience for their clients is unmatched. If visiting Rhodes Greece, 30 Villa Rd is a must stay location.
