Sometimes the best discoveries come when you’re not overthinking things. The building itself has this understated charm — nothing flashy, but there’s something genuinely welcoming about the way it sits along Περιφερική οδός. The staff greeted me like I was an old friend returning home, which immediately set the tone for everything that followed.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s the thing about Apóllona — it’s one of those places where location really matters, and Απόλλων nails it. The hotel sits right where you want to be without being in the thick of tourist chaos. I mean, you’re close enough to walk to the main attractions (that famous kouros statue is practically around the corner), but far enough out that you actually get some peace in the evening. The peripheral road location might sound less romantic, but it’s actually perfect — easy to find when you’re driving, and you’ve got parking right there, which anyone who’s tried to park in Greek island towns will appreciate.

The Room Experience

My room was honestly better than I expected for a three-star property. Clean, comfortable, and — this surprised me — really well thought out in terms of storage and layout. The air conditioning actually worked (not always a given), and the bathroom was modern enough that I didn’t feel like I was roughing it. What I loved most was the view from my window — not spectacular, but genuinely pleasant, looking out over the town with glimpses of the Aegean in the distance. The beds are firm, which I personally prefer, and the linens felt fresh every day.

Breakfast happens in a small dining area that feels more like someone’s home than a hotel restaurant. The selection isn’t huge, but everything they do serve is done well — proper Greek yogurt, local honey, fresh bread, and coffee that’s actually strong enough to wake you up. The staff here really makes the difference though. They remember your name, ask about your plans, and genuinely seem to care that you’re having a good time. There’s no spa or fancy amenities, but honestly, when you’re spending your days exploring Naxos, you don’t really need them.

That 9.5 rating isn’t an accident — Απόλλων just gets the basics absolutely right. It’s the kind of place where couples end up having a better time than they expected because they’re not dealing with the usual hotel hassles. You’re not paying for marble lobbies or infinity pools, but you are getting genuine hospitality and a really solid base for exploring this part of Naxos. The value here is exceptional, especially when you factor in how much you’ll save on parking and how easy it is to get around from this spot. I’d definitely stay here again.
